    Re: James Ward

Great win for Wardy against an up and coming player. Stayed watching (bet365) for the presentations - and beforehand they drew the raffle! Sir Bradley Wiggins eat your heart out!
  2. Sticky: Re: WIMBLEDON 2013, THE FINAL: Andy Murray v Novak Djokovic, Sunday 7th July 2pm.

I'm just so happy for him..
  3. Re: MADRID 2013, ROUND 3: Andy Murray v Gilles Simon, Thur 9th May, nb 20.30 UK time

Andy's getting so good at toughing things out. Some of his passing shots were brilliant - which they had to be. He looked a lot calmer than I was at any time during the match. Well done to battle...
  4. Re: MIAMI MASTERS 2013, FINAL: Andy Murray v David Ferrer. Sunday 31st March, 16.30 UK time.

If Andy plays with the variety he showed in the quarter and semi it'll be a great match and the number 2 spot will be his. Go Andy!
  5. Re: Davis Cup, 5-7 April 2013 - Ricoh Arena, COVENTRY - Group Booking

Family commitments mean I cannot make it to Coventry for this tie. Next time, whenever that is. Hope you all have a great time.
  6. Re: AO FINAL: Muzzah misses out to Nole, 7'6(2), 6'7(5), 3'6, 2'6

Just thinking of all those times the great Nadal turned up at finals only to be bested by the ultimate competitor that is Nole. So Andy is in good company. Gutted for him but he gave it everything....
  7. Re: AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2013, SEMI-FINAL: Andy Murray v Roger Federer. RLA. Fr 25/1/13, 08.30hrs UK tim

Brilliant, brilliant and thrice brilliant. Barring last September in New York, I think this is the most mature performance I have seen from Andy. Loved it. Can go off and practice breathing easily...
  8. Re: AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2013, SEMI-FINAL: Andy Murray v Roger Federer. RLA. Fr 25/1/13, 08.30hrs UK tim

    Just hold. Please hold.
  9. Re: AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2013, SEMI-FINAL: Andy Murray v Roger Federer. RLA. Fr 25/1/13, 08.30hrs UK tim

That's the way to do it! So good, so good.
  10. Re: AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2013, SEMI-FINAL: Andy Murray v Roger Federer. RLA. Fr 25/1/13, 08.30hrs UK tim

Well done to consolidate the break. So glad he is keeping focused.
  11. Re: AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2013, SEMI-FINAL: Andy Murray v Roger Federer. RLA. Fr 25/1/13, 08.30hrs UK tim

Knew that was going to happen. Fed is so good on tie-breaks. Long way to go, though.
  12. Re: AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2013, SEMI-FINAL: Andy Murray v Roger Federer. RLA. Fr 25/1/13, 08.30hrs UK tim

And Andy hasn't had any TB practice this slam yet, whereas Fed won both against Tsonga. Nail biting stuff.
  13. Re: AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2013, SEMI-FINAL: Andy Murray v Roger Federer. RLA. Fr 25/1/13, 08.30hrs UK tim

The Murray game plan seems to be working beautifully. Just wishing for more of the same. Go Andy!!
  14. Re: AUSTRALIAN OPEN GRAND SLAM, 14-27 Jan 2013 (draw 23.00hrs Thu 10 Jan UK). Discussion thread

So Roger the Codger does the needful again. Pity - I was hoping that Raonic would give him some trouble or at least keep him up past his bedtime. So pinning my hopes on Tsonga now. I want a...

Well done that girl! Brilliant to come through like that. A thriller of a match indeedee.
  16. Re: AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2013, ROUND 1: Andy Murray v Robin Haase - 1st on RLA, Tue 15/1/13, 00.01 UK tim

Brilliant break to keep the stranglehold on the match. And a serenade from the Andy boys. Great stuff.

I echo all the kind thoughts here for both Ross and Colin and wish Ross a speedy and full recovery.
  19. Re: BRISBANE 2013, FINAL: Andy Murray, Champion again in Brisbane. Defeats Dimitrov 7'6(0), 6'4

Ahh... That explains a lot. My stream finished before the presentation so didn't see that bit.
  20. Re: BRISBANE 2013, FINAL: Andy Murray, Champion again in Brisbane. Defeats Dimitrov 7'6(0), 6'4

I hope he leaves Brisbane with the feeling of job done. From his less than ecstatic reaction at the end of the match methinks he's feeling some pressure?

Well done and congratulations Andy. Hope...
  21. Re: BRISBANE 2013, FINAL: Andy Murray v Grigor Dimitrov. Sun 6th Jan not B4 14.00 local = 04.00 UK

Well, what a difference two games make! It's like he thought - well I need to step up a gear after all. And did he! Now finish it.
  22. Re: BRISBANE 2013, FINAL: Andy Murray v Grigor Dimitrov. Sun 6th Jan not B4 14.00 local = 04.00 UK

Just when I thought he was managing to keep his focus....
  23. Re: BRISBANE 2013, FINAL: Andy Murray v Grigor Dimitrov. Sun 6th Jan not B4 14.00 local = 04.00 UK

That's what I call an emphatic tie-break. I like it.

Great statement of intent, given how well Dimitrov played in that first set. He must be wondering a) how he lost it and b) what else he can do....
  24. Re: BRISBANE 2013, SEMI-FINAL: Andy Murray v Kei Nishikori. Sat 5th Jan approx 04.00 UK time!

Very well done Andy for turning that set around. After the first couple of games he's looked quite sharp. Nishikori faltering as the set went deep but I can see why Andy is peppering his backhand -...
  25. Re: BRISBANE 2013, R2: Andy Murray v John Millman. Thursday 3/1/13, 10.30hrs UK time approx

My thoughts entirely, Jane. Can never make up my mind whether Andy's matches get tough because his opponents are playing out of their skin, or because he's allowing them to play that way. A bit of...
