Ding dong batte. That first set was tough. I want Radwanska to win, but nothing against Petko.

It certainly was some battle but Radwanska prevailed 6-4 in the 3rd, well done- tough for Petkovic though who put so much into it.

Sad for Petko Radwanska will overtake her in the rankings & race now. But I think they are both likely to just miss out on a place in the last 8

    Re: WTA - general thread

Glad thar Petra Kvitova took her first title since Wimbledon overcoming Domi Ciblukova 6-4, 6-1 having come through a 3 setter with Jelena Jamkovic in the semis. However, a disappointing performance from Sam Stosur in Osaka as she was comprehensively beaten 6-3, 6-1 by Marion Bartoli. WTA Championships is next week in Instabul. Just once place remains as Wozniacki, Sharapova,Kvitova, Azarenka, Li , zvonareva and Stosur haver already qualified.

Sam certainly has her ups and downs. Not very consistent really. Could say the same about all the recent grand slam winners.
