Thread: Kyle Edmund

    Re: Kyle Edmund

Very tight match, hard fought, close winning margins.
Kyle didn't start the tie-break well and that really cost him.
Heck of a performance though; Zverev (WR#3), despite being 2 years younger, has shot up the rankings by dint of winning 8 tournaments. Kyle hasn't won any; that's perhaps the difference? Just the confidence of knowing you've done it before. Zverev knew he had to win that 2nd set; he looked pretty tired.

    Well done Kyle!

Pity Kyle didn't get the win, but have to say I was really impressed with his performance in this match!

Was a good match in the end from Kyle. Shame he couldn't get the win. He was very close to getting that second set and showed some true grit in the tiebreak after a rocky start. Onward and Upward for him.

Kyle will be confirmed as a NCH #17 tomorrow, which also means he will be a top16 seed (#16) at Roland Garros due to a certain player not participating

A 'certain player' is quite likely to enter just to Keep Kyle out!

Raonic has withdrawn so Kyle could even be seeded higher.

Oops - Raonic ranked 22 at the moment, so Raonic's withdrawal won't affect Kyle.

Sounds like JMDP is a major doubt too so even if a certain player did rock up he'd still probably be ok.

50/50 chance of avoiding Rafa or Sasha in the last 16.

Wildcards gone and he made it clear he's not playing until grass LOL, Hoping DelPo makes it.

Kyle will play the Australian De Minaur in the first round at RG. De M really impressed at the Aussie Open, but I think Kyle should handle him ok on the clay.
