I haven't enjoyed Wimbledon anywhere near the same without Andy and am horrified today to hear he is now ranked 839! I can't be too far behind him! So hope he makes the hard courts and starts climbing. x

I thought Wimbledon was rather flat the first week but really took off during the second and ended on a high note. Rafa v Djokovic should definitely have been the final though. Roll on Wimbledon 2019 when hopefully Andy will be in the fray

Totally agree. We were there to watch Rafa and Novak and it was thrilling. The women’s final was tame in comparison. Watched the men’s final on TV and couldn’t help but compare it to what we saw the day before!

Or the QF Rafa v DelPo, Novak v Kei was pretty good to start with as was Novak v Kyle, the only time he was a set down.

Crikey ... all you negative nellies!

I love Wimbledon, always have, always will. Yes I missed Andy and I was really down when I got off the tube in Southfields to the news of his withdrawal ... all the group I was with were. But we picked ourselves up and we still had an amazing week watching all the Brits with a bit of Rafa and DelPo thrown in and a lot of fun was had by all. No, there weren't the CC last night thrillers in the first week, that came in the second week which I watched on TV, but the weather was fantastic and we had a wonderful time.

Yep Caro....I actually enjoyed it more than I thought i would without Andy! It was still an amazing week altho obviously it would have been ultra amazing if we had Andy there to support. Still it's gave me hope that I can still have the best time at tennis events when he eventually calls it a day.

    Re: Andy's schedule 2018

Me too. We only went twice but with no Andy, we were able to take in a greater variety of matches. I particularly enjoyed seeing some of our juniors, putting faces to names plus our rising female players. So much less stress this year as I wasn't that bothered who won (as long as it wasn't Federer!). However - I am happy to have enjoyed it once like this and will be very happy to see Andy back next year.

Just this! Exactly how we felt too. Supporting Andy and supporting Wimbledon are like two different things- fabulous when they collide but both also separately fabulous.
