Thread: Andy's schedule 2018

    Re: Andy's schedule 2016

Andy has had a busy schedule. The good news is that he is in peak physical and mental condition unlike Al the other top 5 players. Hopefully he can now go on and win Atp Paris and London to claim the number 1 spot. Followed by sports personality of the year and then knighthood!

Really?! Why?? It doesn't surprise me one bit. He has always said he will play DC if fit. He clearly enjoys it and I believe it is a priority for him, despite what everyone else seems to want for him

The only reason I said that is because the tie is the other side of the world and his daughter will be celebrating her first Birthday on 7th February. I am sure he will play if he feels fit enough.

Think they might be wary handing out a knighthood to an Olympic Gold medal Winner and Sports Personality of the Year. The last one they gave it to now seems to have a somewhat chequered history to defend.

I reckon Andy will be knighted when he retires.

    And plenty time enough IMO.

If the QF is away to France then Zurich is almost next door but if GB are playing in Japan and Andy plays then Fed would surely require a substitute even if Japan is 8 hours ahead. It could be argued that a Japanese team even with Nishikori is beatable by a GB team without Andy although he'd get some flak if the day after GB losing, he's playing an exho in Switzerland.

Confirmation that Andy (along with Federer) is playing Dubai next February. Still no information if he's playing any other tournaments (like Rotterdam) in February.

I saw his schedule on the Andy Murray fan Forum. He is only scheduled at present for Dubai & Queens as 500 tournaments.

    Re: Andy's schedule 2017

Andy is not on the entry list for Rotterdam (Feb 13-19) so Dubai is the only tournament he's scheduled to play between the Australian Open and Indian Wells. Djokovic isn't scheduled to play any in the same period but hasn't ruled out changing his schedule. I think they're both playing scheduling chicken and waiting to see what happens in Melbourne. I wonder if Andy does ask for a Rotterdam wild card it will mean he won't play DC in Canada.

Leon has already hinted that he doesn't expect Andy to play in Canada.
