Great news. Was only a matter of time. But they will need a balance between the overall and green jersey at The Tour.

Tour of Oman has just started. Cav's first ride as a Sky rider. It's on Eurosport all week long.

    Alberto Contador—you little *******.

An expert said a couple of years ago, the cadence he maintained up some of the mountains was humanly impossible.

Foolish, foolish man. Very sad day for Spain and especially Spanish cycling.

I like Contador and feel bad about this. Hope there are no other cyclists waiting to be found out.

So they've banned him without banning him? Cop out.

Just read that article more carefully and agree it is a cop out. Let's hope the Olympic drug testing is quicker than this.

All the drug charge against Contador seems to have done is to prolong the agony for Contador, his famly and friends as well as his supporters. Possibly Andy Schleck as well.

total cop out, i have long maintained national bodies should not be involved in drug sanctions, RFEC obviously have a vested interest

    Re: Cycling Thread

I wish they had stripped him of his 2009 win, as that would have given Bradley Wiggins a podium place.

Been reading David Millar's autobiography and I feel so schizophrenic towards cycling. I love watching it but am never quite sure if.....

been let down so many times. Pantani riding up the mountain stages. Man against nature. Exquisite... but no, drug enduced.

Then you see Cav sprinting... very special.
Just hope Brad Wiggins is 100% this year and can go for it.

I felt the same about Michael Rasmussen. I used to love watching him climb.
