    Re: Cycling Thread

    Congratulations to Chris Froome

Chris adds Vuelta victory to his four Tour de France titles, and becomes only the third rider in history to win the Tour de France and the Vuelta in the same year.

It'd be great to see Chris add the Giro to his list of achievements but think he will stay focused on winning another TdF.

Damming evidence, blatantly obvious they are getting away with coverups and Wiggins should have his 2012 wins taken off him.

I've been saying for years that the exceptions given to asthmatics (in all sports, including tennis) are unfair.

To be honest with you I am increasingly of the opinion that no sport is truly clean. I think there is so much money involved that morality has been sacrificed for financial gain. I agree about the misuse of TUE’s.

Sad to read this about Bradley Wiggins especially when we are remembering Sir Roger Bannister.

Yorkshire are in talks in hosting the start of the Vuelta a Espana. They're also hosting the world road cycling championships next year.

Chris Froome has won the treble by victory in the Giro d'Italia.

    Well done Chris

I don't know how he managed this because from the reports about the tour there was no mention of him just Simon Yates.

Can't understand why they are relaxing so much and talking at the end though, when there is only 46 seconds in it.

3 days from the end, Froome went 80 km from the end of the stage and won it by enough to take the lead. Yates blew up that day.

In all the Grand Tours, the last day is always a procession, only the sprints are competitive.
