The Charity Event raised just over 1500 with donations on the night, cheques, and My Just Giving Page. Thanks to everyone on here who contributed so generously. Information from the PSPA informs us that vital research is now taking place at Cambridge University funded by the Medical Research Council in PSP research and other research at Oxford University funded by the PSPA. This is hopeful news for the future. This will be my last post on Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and the PSPA.

Maureen, thanks for that positive news about research into PSP. You must be exhausted after last Friday and the lead up to it but you must feel that it was very much worthwhile, although feeling a bit let down on the day. You have done your bit and more for the cause so time to chill out and enjoy Wimbie.

Thanks and you're right. I did feel exhausted and a little flat. The long summer days are lonely without Alan but Wimbledon will keep me occupied. He used to say he could leave the house and I wouldn't know he'd gone when glued to the TV. Another thing I will miss is the excellent room service he provided throughout the fortnight.

Well done Maureen, that's a fantastic amount of money. You've also done a terrific job to raise awareness of this illness. You should be very proud. Now enjoy a break and some tennis!
