Davis (PIQUE) Cup - Madrid - who is going

Just thought I would start this thread as we canít post on the closed thread.

Itís 18th -24th November not September.
Iím not going myself but if anyone is thinking of doing so, it will be helpful to have somewhere to discuss plans.

It looks like thereís a group of Murraynators going and also Stirling Uni group.
I feel bad not supporting the team after so many years of going to every DC tie possible but it just doesnít feel right to go to this, being as I was sooo against it.
Everyone is different of course and those who want to go should not be lambasted for it. When November comes around I will probably be cursing myself for cutting off my nose to spite my face!

Couldn't go even if I wanted to as doesn't fit in with work. Even though I couldn't always do the real DC around work - I did have more likelihood of making it. And like Caro come November I'll be watching it and wishing I could be there .

If it's a success this year, I might be tempted in 2020 as it's a big Birthday for me around that time.

Personally won't be going this year or any other. No intention of either organising ad hoc travel/acc (at extortinate prices) if GB progresses, or spending 3 days in Madrid in November if they don't. Ordinary people/fans trampled over yet again. I don't feel bad about not supporting - it's not like any players spoke up for fans. If others feel differently and are going, I hope they have a nice time.

It’s not my scene now. The contempt shown to the fans, means we don’t owe them any loyalty at all.

Definitely not going either (would only consider any home ties in new set up and not even completely sure about that) doubt I'll miss not being in Madrid- too expensive for what it is (transformed out of all recognition).

I feel the same. RR ticket prices are actually reasonable but itís the principle for me. Hadnít thought about the players not speaking up for the fans but thatís true. Itís just all so sad. I miss the real DC so much
