I remember watching them win in Beijing, and I think they got silver at London 2012 too?

Really sad - feel so sorry for his family and his sailing friends in particular - they must be devastated right now

    That's very sad.

So much sporting activity this weekend!!! Having to plan very carefully to fit everything in ...
... Australia struggling to try and beat England today at Lords
    ... The Open from Muirfield
... watching Chris Froome cycle down the Champs d'Elysses
    ... World Athletics (disabilty sport)
... and I was going to rewatch Andy winning Wimbledon AND rewatch the Olympics opening ceremony.

    Best get started ...

Very disappointing performance from GB's swimmers in the Worlds - only 1 bronze won by Fran Halsall in the 50m freestyle.

Hope the team improve their performance for the Commonwealth Games next year. I hope these poor results are just the result of young swimmers being brought into the team after London 2012.

Indeed one of the poorest showings but at least Fran got on the podium and there were a few near misses. Hopefully others will make their mark soon.

I wish they would just announce the venue. I've been offered 20% off tickets for next year's Anniversary Games and I've got until Sunday to accept it and also I can also get 20% off any hotel that I choose to stay in, but I've also got until Sunday to book one.

This has nothing to do with the DC SF tie. Better I move it to general sports ...
