    Re: Olympics - London 2012 - Sailing

After a horrendous start in the first Finn-class race, British triple gold medallist Ben Ainslie clawed his way back through the field to take second place behind Dane Jonas Hogh-Cristensen. Heh got a better start in the second race, but again finished second behind the Dane.

However, as Ben always seems to start slowly, he's looking pretty good so far!

Ben's currently 4 places ahead of the Danish guy in the final round - if it finishes like this they'll be tied on points going into the medal race!

    Watch the sailing now!
Ben Ainslie was well in the lead, now it looks like he's slowing down to have a go at the Danish guy - steal his wind and put a boat between them or even try and get a penalty.
    Shouldn't have made him angry!

I had no idea that there were such tactics in sailing!

He did it too - managed to get the Dutch boat in between them which means now "all" he has to do is beat the Danish guy in the final to win gold!
Worth watching that race back even if you've never seen a sailing race before - great stuff!

    SAILING - Medal Races

13:00 - Star Class - Iain Percy & Andrew Simpson
    14:00 - Finn Class - Ben Ainslie

Ainslie has been involved in a dramatic battle with Denmark's Jonas Hogh-Christensen all week and he goes into Sunday's decisive Finn medal race knowing a fourth gold medal is tantalisingly close. Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson might be a safer bet (13:00) for Britain having dominated the Star class.

Aww the Brits pipped to the post in the Star class. Still a Silver, though.

Hopefully Ainslee will get the gold in the Finn class.
