Very sad that Dom Inglot and partner Treat Huey have lost their doubles match.
:crying:
It was very, very tight and they had chances to take it in the 4th set.

However, the vastly experienced Israelis clung on and have just won it 9'7 in the 5th.
6-4, 3-6, 6-2, 6-7(6-8), 7-9

It really annoys me that the Williams sisters come onto court, have their warm-up and then go straight back off again - I've seen Serena do it quite often in singles matches too. Pure gamesmanship and very disrespectful to their opponents. Shouldn't be allowed!

Yes, in doubles. Marray is from Sheffield not Scotland. Fleming's still in the mixed though.

Jonny Marray and Frederick Nielsen play their Doubles Final today on Centre court after the Ladies Final.

From an item in the Independent today (http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/tennis/marray-ends-52year-wait--and-celebrates-with-tea-7920726.html):

"Marray ends 52-year wait and celebrates with tea"

As droughts go this one had lasted only the 52 years. Jonny Marray yesterday became the first Briton to make the men's double final since 1960 after he and his Danish partner, Freddie Nielsen, stunned the defending champions Mike and Bob Bryan.
The last Britons in the final were Bobby Wilson and Mike Davies while the last British success came in 1936, the same year Fred Perry won his last singles title.
"Marray, described as the last serve-and-volleyer left in tennis by his partner, spent his £75 winner's gift voucher on a tea set. "He likes tea," said Nielsen."

The only other time I've ever seen Freddie play was earlier this year at the Hopman Cup when he played with Caro Woz. I thought he was pretty good then! This is an amazing story only because of their rankings and the fact they've only recently paired up.

5-2 up. This has got to be one of the most exciting dubs matches I've ever seen. Jamie winning a few years ago was one.

This is just an incredible story. For a WC pairing that have not played together for long to win one of the biggest prizes is amazing. I hope this is a good omen for Andy too and i think it may take some pressure off him as Marray will surely get considerable attention for this.
