Vamos Milos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wonder if Rafa'll turn up for this.
I have to say, they have a good line up here. All the good players used to play Queens - not any more it seems!

Milos takes first set 7-5. :yahoo:
Caro, I would imagine many players prefer to play at a grass tournament where there's a roof to avoid scenarios like the one at Queen's today.
Milos takes it 7-6 (1) in the second set. Last year he lost to Petzschner in the quarters in three sets so this is a vast improvement. :yahoo:

Good result for Milos, well done! Well it would have very frustrating at Queens today!

Lol,yeah I normally try and ignore Berdy!

............ that's because they don't want to pay the ridiculous UK taxes - they are killing the tournament.
............ that's because they don't want to pay the UK taxes - they are killing the tournament.imagine UK government wanting to tax mega rich sports stars, if they are so concerned lets see how many of then withdraw from Wimbledon

6-1 Very easy so far. Maybe I can get back to bed soon.

I think the top players just want a couple of matches on grass before Wimbly and don't really have much interest in winning a 250. Fed has just lost the first set to Raonic.

I didn't think he looked like his heart was in it. I think those with sense are saving themselves for Wimbly........so where does that leave the goat???
hopefully out in round 1
In other news, good to see that the battle of the Tommys was won by Tommy Haas - beating Tommy Berdych in 3 sets.
Means an all-German semi with Kohlschreiber, who is the defending champ here, I think.

3 of the 4 semi finalists are parents! Has that happened in an ATP level tournament before?
All of them have SHBHs too.

I seem to recall Haas was supposed to meet Fed at Wimbly in the 1/4 final (or semi, can't remember) a few years ago and he withdrew with a tummy problem. I was really ticked at him for giving Fed a w/o. To think he could have knocked him out then! Maybe. :rolling:

I agree, i think this week has little bearing on wimbledon. Still pleased for tommy though, prob one of his last fans on here. I am hoping anything he said was blown up out of context!
I didn't realise that Roger and Tommy were such good friends, by the way..
Here is a tweet to Tommy from his wife (which he then retweeted):
"Love the friendship these boys have.Roger is such a class act!Love him and mirka so much!"
Am pleased for Tommy too - am a bit of a fan of his as well. Although Roger did let that first set slip away from him somewhat, Tommy ultimately wanted this more and was the deserved winner.
Of course these matches are just tune-ups, and don't mean a great deal going into SW19. This of course applies to Queen's, Eastbourne, Hertenbosch, Bad Gastein, wherever. The fact that the world number 1 in both the ATP and WTA have sat it out speaks volumes..
