Often happens in the Slams because you get a lot of wild card entries from players with big serves. Plus the top players haven't played them before.

I'm sure you're right RFs but it would appear that there is a pool of doubles players out there who team up with whomsoever happens to be available at a given venue - so there must be some who are in the same boat as Jamie. Surely it would be sensible to team up with one of them and play at least three or four tournaments with the same partner. it must be difficult to gel with someone straight away. In my view, he can't keep relying on Andy to boost his ranking by playing with him whenever he can. I'm sure Andy enjoys it but it's a lot of responsibility to put on him.

Flemchins are 3-3 v Baker/Ram but are under thread at *15-40 on their serve.

btw I'd read that another player for whom the USO was his last tournament was Mark Knowles. If this is true then he is certainly a loss to the doubles tour. Classy player.
