The 'mosquito' has announced his retirement from tennis and will play his last tournament in Valencia this autumn.
He's been dogged by injuries over the last couple of seasons and dropped in the rankings to #111 but has a career high ranking of #1 in 2003 the year in which he won his only Grand Slam title at Roland Garros.
In 2007 he bought a 'cottage' not far from Valencia and has turned it into a boutique hotel with 12 luxury rooms; it won a Michelin star in 2011.
