Andy Murray and Andy Roddick are participating at this event according to their Home Page. (http://www.miamitenniscup.com/)
This is the first year of the event which is Round Robin format
Other participating players are John Isner, Alejandro Falla, Nicolas Almagro and Juan Carlos Ferrero. See their Facebook Page here (http://www.facebook.com/MiamiTennisCup)
Since Andy's stated he'll be headed to his Miami home for winter training, and work with Lendl during the time leading up to the Australian season starting in 2013, then perhaps it makes sense to factor in some 'matches' during that time.
As far as we know he's likely to take a bit of a break after the WTF (ending on Monday 12th Nov), head to Florida for his training (4 weeks), then via the UK (Xmas?), be in Abu Dhabi for the Exho there around 27th December and then head off to Brisbane and Melbourne Park.
wonder if there will be a stream

I really hope so!
Going to need treatment for tennis starvation otherwise between now and Abu Dhabi.

So the report about Andy spending Christmas at home was wrong?

So the report about Andy spending Christmas at home was wrong?
I don't think so.
He's on holiday for a week and then training in Florida with Lendl for 4 weeks.
During that time this exhibition event takes place right on his doorstep so it's a good opportunity to get some match practice.
Since he's playing in Abu Dhabi on 27th December he'll probably head to the UK just before Xmas, spend time with family and then head East as per this from the opening post.

The tournament details are up now on Andy's official website (http://www.andymurray.com/tournaments/) with a comment from Muzzah:-
This is five minutes down the road from my home in Miami, so no jet lag for this tournament.
The locals love their tennis, and Crandon Park is a great venue so this should be fun.
And here's a nice early morning piccy from Rob via twitter:-

It would seem so - see this post in the Schedule thread.
I can't find the original conversation where we first noted that he said he was going to America after the Australian Open was over so he could train in Florida in February.

Very strange. Despite the info on the first page about the order of play, this twitter feed says Isner beat Ferrero and will play Almagro, not Andy. And also that Andy faces Roddick. https://twitter.com/MiamiTennisNews

for 2morrow
The two Andys got a bye to the semifinal, and were always scheduled to play each other - see schedule (http://www.miamitenniscup.com/).

Originally the schedule was for Roddick to play the winner of Almagro/Falla and Andy to play the winner of Ferrero/Isner. They probably changed it to guarantee a Murray/Roddick match. Should be good - will be nice to see them play each other in a match where it doesn't matter who wins. :)

According to Livescorehunter it doesn't start till 12.30,Almagro/Isner up first. that was wrong, Murray/Roddick forst up but problems with streams anyway. Muzzah lost first 6-2, up break at 2-1 in 2nd.
It's already started. Andy M lost the first set 6/2. All square at 2 all in the second.
Andy R won, don't think it was too serious from Andy M. Looked like purely an exhibition from Andy's side.
Match has just finished - Andy R. won 6-2, 6-3 (the figures are a bit blurred on the screen, but I think that is the score)

Unfortunately Murray went down 6-2,6-3 and from the bit I seen didn't seem in great form and obviouisly disappointing scoreline but just an exhibition from our Andy's side anyway, but sure Andy's game will be at a different level when we next see him. Apologies about info I gave earlier which turned out to be wrongbut streams weren't working till much later anyway.

I think Andy would probably be happy for arod to win & get to the final so that he could get back to his training. He did not look as if he was taking the exho particularly seriously in my opinion.

I looked up on MTF to see what people in the USA with ESPN said. Sounds as though it was definitely not serious - apparently Andy was hitting the ball high in the air for Roddick to smash, and both were serving into the crowds/bottom of the net, or something like that. Nothing to worry about. Back to training!

So, Mandy kept it 'social' this time around then ..............
(anyone remember Roddick playing Murray at Queens and asking him to keep it social?
Muzzah thrashed him ......... 6'3, 6'1 in the Semi's 2011 ('cos it mattered!)

Sounds like Andy played it charitably in more than one sense!
Makes sense for the number 3 in the world to turn up and do his bit to raise money and it makes sense for the local guy who is fund raising to get to the final to raise more money.
Well done to both.
