Marray and Fleming are kicking off their partnership in Montpelier.
Guess they'll go for one of the OS places - Colin doesn't mention a WC in his tweet:-
Colin Fleming @colin_fleming
Excited to say I'm going to be teaming up on court with Jonny Marray.
Our first event will be Montpellier a week on Monday.

Perhaps Jamie might play in Coventry??
Unfortunately for Jame there's a glut of British players in the top 100 at the moment - and he is currently the 7th ranked Brit.
Obviously Ross Hutchins won't be playing but if Fleming/Marray can forge a partnership over the next few weeks then they'd be the most logical choice. If for any reason one/both weren't available (injury? but let's hope not) there still some high ranked Brits to choose from ahead of Jamie. Delgado/Skupski have worked as a team for some time now and although they are sometimes stymied at ATP250's they have a good steady partnership and, for me, would be our best alternative to Fleming/Marray.

Well done everybody!!:yahoo::yahoo:
Yeah! Well done Jamie and John! And well done Colin and jonny!
the montpellier schedule is as daft as the oz was. colin+jonny play their semi today, late, after the last of the singles quarters. so jamie+john play tomorrow? final sunday?
Sallydaisy

the montpellier schedule is as daft as the oz was. colin+jonny play their semi today, late, after the last of the singles quarters. so jamie+john play tomorrow? final sunday?
But if you follow the doubles tour you'll know that the schedules are like this week in, week out.
Most of the ATP250s/500s/Challengers and even Masters end up with the same scenario.
It's something the players are used to, it's part of the 'job', and it's not like the AO where they have to play best of 5 sets potentially over a few hours. With the CTB to 10 the doubles the guys know their time on court is likely to be 2hrs max and they have each other i.e. they really don't have to run so much as the singles guys.
Also, they're likely to play the doubles SF first on Saturday as the warm up to the singles SF's and ditto with the Finals on Sunday.
So Jamie/John would have nearly a day to recover - and they do have today 'off' too.
And the Brits have to win their Semi-Finals first before worrying about the Final.
;)
Yay! Well done everyone. Now let's have Fleming/Marray v Murray/Peers in the Final........
no, i don't follow doubles much, i don't care for the format, like i don't care for 20/20 cricket. oh, and jamie+john play last tomorrow, after the second singles, starting 3.45. some schedule.
Oh dear. Hopefully J& J will win, Harriet - & that will give us all a reason to smile:-)

Llodra is into a 3rd set against Benoit Paire in the first Semi; he'll have about 1.5/2hrs to recover before the doubles. However, I bet Llodra goes all out to win 'cos they'll want a French title here on home soil (well, indoor hard court).
EDIT: Paire wins 4'6, 6'3, 6'1
All the best of luck to Jamie and John:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

The arena is deserted for the doubles ...
All 4 players are in white! I know the court is a greeny-blue but it's nothing like Wimbledon.
:hmm:
Giquel/Llodra to serve first (Llodra); he has blue trainers on so we might be able to tell who he is at least.

9-9* with Jamie to serve again after the change of ends
10-9* the french have a 4th set point
*11-9
First set to the French 7'6(9) but it's very very tight and you have to think Llodra might tire at some point.
Giquel the weaker of the 2 Frenchmen.
And Jamie's serve seemingly flakey? Only watched the tie breaker though.
On serve in the second so far.
Thinking the seats are empty because lots will be watching the rugby - as is Mr P down the pub!

Yes in the one sense, though of course pity we didn't have a Brit in the final. Still a good run for Jamie/John and indeed Colin/Johnny.
With all the Brits we had in the draw you'd think one/two of them should have won! :grrr:
Only joking. Well done to all
