I'm not sure I've ever seen Haas play this well before! I'm not his biggest fan (although I rather enjoy watching him... ;) ) but you can't but admire the tennis he's playing at the moment - some of those backhands were sublime - I didn't know he could do that!
Just taken the first set 6-4 - great play and Ferrer is really going to have to dig deep to get past him.
He did get one break back, though, so it's not all going Tommy's way....

Really impressive from Tommy, though Ferrer did make first set more respectable and could still find way back.

Wow - superb back-hand dropper from Haas - he's really throwing everything into this. Thought Ferrer was heading for a love service game, but Haas clearly has other ideas...

I posted this elsewhere, but in the turnaround an interesting piece of news to read ... another grass court tournament on the way... http://www.atpworldtour.com/News/Tennis/2013/03/13/Stuttgart-Switches-To-Grass-In-2015.aspx

Haas slightly snatching at things.... keeps on being one point short of the game and in the end Daveed breaks to go 4-2 in the second.
Daveed is turning this match around! :cheer:
:cheer::cheer: cmon David

Haas' level just dipped a bit and Ferrer was strong enough to take advantage,David looking the favourite now.

Wonder if Haas felt he had to win it in straights and has lost all his momentum.
He certainly will want to start serving in the third, if that presumably occurs.
Ferru breaks and is serving for the match! :cheer:
Ferru wins! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :yahoo:

Ferrer overall the better player tonight after Haas set the pace initially,Tommy possibly a bit jaded towards the end.

Aww, Tommy has played so well this week that I really feel for him losing like that but I reckon he must have just run out of steam at the end.
Whereas Duracell Daveeeed didn't ... and is thru' to a Masters Final.
A really good match, and I think tonight's match will be another really good one too! (Vamos Andy)
Must say I was a little taken back when I saw that Ferrer had won in three! I left the computer for some TV with Haas up a set! Great news for Ferrer though!! He's really bagging the ranking points so far this year (shame about Indian Wells though) Makes it even harder for Rafa to get back to No. 4 after he sinks back to No. 5 on Monday

I had to miss the end of this match, cos the stupid Sky+ box was set up to record two other programs and I didn't like to cancel either of them. :grrr: it was really quite absorbing, but it seemed to have started going Ferrer's way, so I wasn't too surprised by the result - would have liked to watch it though!

Put another way, Andy is the warm-up act for Lisa and Laura.
I strongly suspect Laura might say something of the kind to Andy :)
anyone watching the womens final ?

I have been watching, though was pretty sure Serena would win again given the history of this matchup. However Sharapova has come on with a different attitude this time, taken the first 6-4 and though broken early in the 2nd now 2 all.

Sharapova not playing so well now though Serena has raised her game and won 3 in a row to lead 5-3 in the 2nd.

The match is over now as Serena's up 2 breaks and and on another level and Maria just couldn't maintain her form sadly.
Not fond of either so not really bothered.
What has happened to Masha?
shes getting ready for her bagel

anyone watching the womens final ?
It was reasonably entertaining at least in the first two sets but as I really don't care for either I can't say I was too invested.
But the men's final is another matter! So happy one of my faves won IW and now the other hopefully will take Miami.
