Another accolade for Andy!!!
:clap::clap::clap:

He's the 2013 Breakthrough Sportsperson! And here's the photo (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BFHjZjKCcAEBNVh.jpg) to prove it.

The Laureus Sporting Awards are a prestigious event (http://www.laureus.com/awards) held this year in Rio de Janeiro. The Laureus organisation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laureus_World_Sports_Awards) raises money to support charitable sporting activities throughout the world under the banner Sport for Good.

Tennis stars have won awards here before; Sportsman of the Year 2012 was Djokovic and in 2011 it was Rafa Nadal. Federer won it in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 ...

So, it's very nice for Andy to win as well.

There were 7 categories - Sportsman, Sportswoman, Breakthrough, Comeback, Action, Disabled and Team.

It's an honour to have won the Laureus World Sport Award for World Breakthrough of the Year for 2012.

To come out on top amongst such a strong field of nominees really is the finishing touch on a great year for me.

A big thank you to my team and all of you at home for your great support, it means a lot. Here’s to a great 2013 season!
