After their fantastic win over the Bryan Brothers in the ATP250 Final at Houston it's down to earth with a bump for Jamie and John.
They're headed to Sarasota which is a Challenger event on clay. At least it'll be chance for Jamie to hook up with another couple of British players - James Ward and Kyle Edmund (upcoming Junior, good clay courter and joint 5th 'man' at DC last week).
Sadly the 2 Brits in the singles draw are to meet in R1 ... Wardy v WC Kyle
Such a shame that one of them will lose. Wardy is good on clay and has won the title here already. Kyle has also proved he can play on clay and a few points here would really lift his ranking ahead of Wimbledon and the chance of a Wildcard.
Anyhow - back to the doubles!
The draw isn't out yet but it'll be posted as soon as possible and we'll set up FTD for Jamie/John.
The draw is out. Jamie and John are no.2 seeds and play qualifiers in the first round. Best of luck, guys:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
I'll leave the rest to you, Sally:):)
Can I post my FTD here please as I'm off to bed and probably won't get back here until long after play has started.
1. Jamie & John
2. Jamie & John v Brumstrom & Butorac
3. Jamie & John v Monroe & Stadler, Brumstrom & Butorac v Becker & Ianni
4. Winners

One set all in Jamie's match - mtb to follow:sofa:

So sorry Jamie and John lost - 3-6, 6-1, 10-4. Still suffering from last week's heroics?

Disappointing but suppose Jamie/John possibly had a bit of a letdown and didn't quite have the focus.

Aw pity the boys lost, back down to earth with a bump for them. I suppose we can't expect them to win everything in a row......not that we ever did that with Andy......
