I'm liking the new judges too :thumb up: and I'm looking forward to the first live show on Saturday. Can't say that I like anyone in particular yet but thank heavens Goldie pulled out, as that was heading for a Wagner part 2!

Misha was quite good.
Gary is great, so honest. The one thing I will criticise him for is what does he see in Frankie???
The only one that stands out for me is Janet Devlin......beautiful voice & very original!

Tonight I liked The Risk, Craig and Janet.
Golden Lady
08-10-2011, 22:16
Janet was great, as was Craig. I also thought the girlband Rhythmix performed really well, so good for them! I think Sophie could do well too, I love the tone of her voice. I reckon James, Amelia, 2 shoes & JohnJo are for the high jump tomorrow.

VamosVixs

Not a great decision to send home James over Frankie but not surprised. Was very surprised Kelly sent home Amelia. Will be interesting to see how the public vote will go next week. Kitty was getting a lot of boos in the studio.

VamosVixs

Louis is good at that, had plenty practice over the years.
Haven't liked anyone tonight so far. Nu Vibe and Frankie were absolutely awful. Disappointed in Craig as I really like him.
Been watching the US X-Factor and the standard is miles higher!

15-10-2011, 19:56
Watched a bit of the US X-Factor at judges houses ,but the ones I watched seemed to have backings
and looked as if they were proper performing like on stage, the British ones just stand and sing which I like better
because you can see the real performer :)

The Risk were great and I liked Craig also but Sophie is really really good & she has no idea how good she is. The judges are right (well mainly Gary), she lacks charisma/personality, which won't help in this sort of comp but she has an amazing recording voice IMO

I agree Vixs, Gary's judgement has so far been spot on but he's sticking his neck out with Frankie, obviously believes he's some kind of Robbie but he's no where good enough.
VamosVixs

Bye bye Frankie!! :cheer:
I'm glad Frankie's gone but I think it's very sad that he left in the way he did instead of being voted out. I know he has to face the consequences of what he's done but at the same time it seemed like he was being encouraged to go out every night and act like a rock star. I know plenty of boys my age who'd gladly go clubbing every night if they had a chance and he really shouldn't have been given the chance while he was on the x-factor. I've seen on other forums people saying that he had a choice over what to do and I know he didn't have to go out, but honestly, when you're that you take every opportunity you have for fun...sure I went out for dinner yesterday evening and ended up coming home at 4am after a night of dancing :rolling: And I think people forget that at 18 you can very easily function on a couple of hours sleep...I've been up writing an essay since 9, and I don't think my work has suffered because I was out last night. :) I'm not defending what he's done, because he did go too far, but it's awful to see all the abuse being written about him and I can understand how easy it must have been for him to look for an escape with so much pressure on him.
Does this mean Johnny will be brought back in? Or will they continue with one act less?

And she put in a rather good performance IMO but I do feel that the show is a shambles this year. Gary said Kitty didn't have the likeability factor!!! Does Misha, no I don't think so.
Would have preferred Misha to go out tonight, but Kitty wouldn't have lasted much longer anyway - she's been in the sing-off a few times even when she sings well. For some reason there always seems to be one act that doesn't get as many votes as you'd expect. Probably not enough appeal to the teenagers and the rest of us have more sense than transfer money to SyCo via BT!
MurrayAOne
13-11-2011, 22:08
I must support Misha here. It's true she doesn't have much more likeability factor but she knocks the socks of Kitty voice wise. Didn't like Kitty's version of Rainbow and she was well out in timing early in the song. The right one went home for me.
I'll need to get my ears checked out. I would say Misha has been technically better overall but thought Kitty won the sing-off hands down.

I think it was more the power and emotion of the song. I actually liked some of her performances but she did benefit from big production where they pulled all the stops out.

If it was purely a singing competition then Janet would be in bother this week - second song better than first but not great.
Don't you find the break at the end of almost every note annoying? Spoils her perfomence for me.
Gary's comment about T'Pau upset Carol Decker, she's going mental at him on twitter!
I'm not surprised. Liked the performance but the original is one of the best songs ever IMHO. Couldn't really see it as a guilty pleasure!

When Marcus started to sing Stevie Wonder's "Lately" I was cringing because; a) it's my favourite song of all time & b) it didn't start well. But the lad poured all his emotion into it & the end, which is Stevie's trademark voice, was actually not bad at all. Hats off to Marcus! I am sure he will make the final along with Little Mix (Pick n Mix as they're known in our house), the last spot not sure.

Hmmm tough one, don't like either of them. May be better for Amelia etc if Janet went tonight as Misha is never going to win this.
Micha been in bottom two 3-4 times

Right person went tonight.
Is it just me or did Janet's voice sound like it was breaking? :sofa:

Well, disappointing semi in our house, my little girl loves the "little muffins' aka Liitle Mix but I fear for their final hopes, not brilliant tonight. What I think might happen is that Amelia Lily may sneak in (not a fan personally) but she certainly worked it tonight. Marcus, dead cert for final (my pick for the winner), Misha B?, could still prove to prevail against the odds.

My final 3 are Little Mix, Amelia and Marcus. I hope Little Mix make it.

I want Little Mix to win but I have a sneaking feeling that Amelia will win for some reason......seen the new M&S ad with her at the forefront instead of Misha B? I amso cynical I know but it makes me uncomfortable when 1 contestant is promoted more than the others.
I think Marcus might be in danger tonight, though I do like him his performances last night were off key.Mischa has a fab voice but she just doesnt excite me when she sings, something lacking?
I am not a girl group fan at all but would be nice for a band to win.
My final 3: Little Mix, Amelia and Mischa.

It would be fantastic if Little Mix can win, it's about time a group won. I really hope it's not them that go tonight.

Got my final 3!! :swingin:
Well predicted Vixs! I am delighted that Little Mix made it, my little girl was in bed as the results show started (school tomorrow & she's only 5). Her Monday morning tradition of late has been to watch the show at 7.30 am Monday morning, so she'll be a happy bunny! I would like the group to win but I would have no problem with Marcus winning either but I really don't appreciate Amelia as a performer at all.
We have got Poppy (my youngest daughter) & Lucy ( my eldest) tickets for the x factor tour for Christmas ( Manchester), hoping they'll be delighted!

Loved tonight's show. Little Mix made the final 2 yay!! My little girl is delighted plus the girls have grown on me, they did well tonight. Tulisa wasn't bad at all in the duet, quite good & Mr Barlow was a gentleman, letting Marcus shine but even so his lovely singing voice was evident. So glad about the final 2, didn't care much for Amelia but she did well tonight & was v gracious in defeat.

My goodness just seen the young girl, Rachel's reaction at getting eliminated from the US x-factor. That was horrible to watch, she is only 13, perhaps far too young to deal with that kind of pressure.

Isn't anyone watching x faxtor? Go Marcus!!!
I know he's a scouser but don't think he has a chance. Last Christmas was pretty insipid compared to the original.

Supporting him to win though. Liked his version of the sinlge. Also like Little Mix though. think they are all good singers. Especially Perry.

Hard luck Marcus! Well done Little Mix. Great singers.
Well done Little Mix, and Marcus too. Have to say neither version of Cannonball did anything special for me.
Military Wives Choir for Christmas No.1 as far as i'm concerned.

So pleased that Little Mix won & my own little muffin is over the moon!!!
Thought they really showcased themselves as singers esp tonight. Hard for Marcus, he did so well & seemed like a genuinely nice guy but for me, the better act won.
