Oh dear. A friend of mine who is on her way there will be very disappointed. We thought he'd want to play at least a couple of matches for grass practice before Wimbly. I suppose he will play at Hurlingham, as he has done before.

Fed has Ernie, Tommy, Milos and Jerzey boy in his half. Ha!
Good preparation for Wimbledon. Glad one or more of the players in Halle are there and not at Queens.
:cauldron:
Very wise decision by Rafa not to play Halle.

Federer/Haas lost to Melzer/Petzschner in their R1 doubles match ...
Draws updated with results. Good to see Inglot/Huey winning their R1 match.

Fed has Ernie, Tommy, Milos and Jerzey boy in his half. Ha!
Milos and Jerzey lost in R1 ...
so if Fed reaches the SF he'll have one of Ernie, Tommy, Hernych or LaMonf to play.
Allez LaMonf!! Or is it LeMonf??
Strangely, it is LaMonf!!!!

Milos was lousy yesterday. If this is what hiring Looby Loo is going to do then he needs to keep looking for another coach.

Federer has just double-bagelled Mischa Zverev ...
Ben Rothenberg @BenRothenberg (https://twitter.com/BenRothenberg) 9s (https://twitter.com/BenRothenberg/status/345493288834437120) Roger Federer demolishes Mischa Zverev 6-0, 6-0 in *39 minutes* for only the second double bagel win of his career (Gaudio TMC 2005). #Halle (https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Halle&src=hash)
Oh dear. I hope that Zverev had a really bad off day (a touch of 'flu, perhaps?) rather than it being indicative of a return to top form for Fed.

Mmmmm ...
I doubt Gael Monfils would agree with us though!
;)

Federer didn't waste any time in demolishing poor Mischa. :grrr: Could he not have given him a few games instead of completely humiliating him. Fed was never going to be in any danger of losing to him so why not give him some encouragement and also make the match last longer for the spectators.
I hope too that this isn't a return to top form but just his determination to win a title, and Halle is his best chance of doing so. Maybe he has an added incentive since Rafa won his 8th French Open title and Fed has only won 7 Wimby titles. I'd like to see someone else, preferably our Andy, have the opportunity of winning Wimby this year. :strawberry: :cauldron:
Best of luck to Richou - hope he is in good form. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Good match between Haas and Monfils. Some crazy shotmaking from the French dude. :rolling: Still waiting for Andy's match to start in London tho'.
Yes, Karanga, I think that Rafa getting his 8th RG has definitely motivated Fed to equal the record by getting his 8th Wimbledon. Really hope he doesn't get it!

Me too. It would be so painful.
Tommy Haas just took the 1st set against Fed 6-3 :cheer: Vamos Tommy :swingin:
Come on Haas! :yahoo: :yahoo: Knock out Mr Ego!
Unfortunately Fed won 3-6 6-3 6-4

Pity but at least Haas challenged Fed again! Youzhny is leading Gasquet 6-3, 5-1 but can't see him being much of a threat.
Somehow, Youzhny has won the 1st set against Fed.

Yes didn't expect that but Fed up 5-3 in the 2nd and looks like he's on his way back.

Federer won 6'7 (5), 6'3, 6'4
Federer won 6'7 (5), 6'3, 6'4
Boo
He didn't have any top class opposition.
True, least Youzhny took the first set though.

I just read somewhere that he'll go down to #5 if he doesn't reach the Wimbly final. Wow!
