great win for the Js, took the second set on the tiebreak - were a break down, came back and served for it, 40-30, then 40-40 deciding point, hence tiebreak needed
they are 2 matches ahead of their next opponents, so can enjoy a day off. next up might be the bryans or the winner of hewitt+tomic versus malisse+r ram

Very good win for Jamie and John, turning into a solid team, well done.
they are 2 matches ahead of their next opponents, so can enjoy a day off. next up might be the bryans or the winner of hewitt+tomic versus malisse+r ram

Great wins for Colin/Jonny and Jamie/Johm, well done guys! Tough matches tomorrow but they have a shot.
One very annoying thing at Queens today was that during the change of ends they occasionally gave scores for matches in progress (although they spent much more time displaying the same tweets several times over:grrr:) but they never gave any results for completed matches, and I couldn't get a 3G signal on my phone except at the very beginning and end of the day, when demand was less. Hence I knew that the Js were up 7-5 6-5, but it was several hours before I could find out the result!
Jamie and John play the Bryans last on Centre Court today, and Colin and Jonny are on Court 2 against Bupathi and Bopannah, not before 2.00 pm. The very best of luck to all of them.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
Good luck to the Js and Flemray today. Really wish the Beeb would have the other courts via the red button though - so annoying to miss our doubles guys if they are not on Centre.
I've been following the scores on the Aegon website, and you can check the results there as well - jaysee might like to try that today?

Following the fleming/marray match on my lta app the brits have just broken 2'1 up in 1st set
I'm at home today so no problem following LS!! The problem at Queens was that I couldn't access any websites, as there was no 3G signal.
Flemray back on serve, serving at 3-4

Brits lost 1set on tiebreak
hi folks, just asking, but why we here rather than 'tour tennis'?
Sallydaisy
14-06-2013, 14:30
Jamie Murray is in the Queens Doubles draw so the thread is in Jamie's Joint. If he's not in a doubles draw but other Brits are involved the doubles information goes into Doubles World.
:)
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_0y9fxTUPzEo/TCY0sYNXtvI/AAAAAAAANSc/9POuE10ki3k/s320/simples.bmp
Tour Tennis is usually for ATP/other events which don't involve Andy (or Jamie) and if no British players are involved we'd probably just have one thread in TT for singles/doubles because such threads don't often have much chatter on them.
We're lucky to have a number of good doubles players in the top 100.
love it! simples! as you say

Creditable effort from Jamie and John to take the Bryans (who just won Roland Garros) to 3 sets.
The twins won 7'6(5), 6'7(9), 11'9.
Tough loss for Jamie and John.
good effort there, needs sustained concentration for ages. wonder if jamie lets his mind wander like kidbro does?

So close and yet so far, great effort and positives to take forward though!
Really hard luck for Jamie and John! Awesome comeback and literally a few points away. Against the Bryans that is truly great! Hopefully they can take the positives from there and push on even more :)
The Bryans win at Queens again! Congrats to the Bryans to came from losing the first set to winning the trophy again, a fitting end that they should win the doubles with Andy winning the singles again - same result as in 2011 :big grin:

You posted here first and I realised there wasn't a doubles thread set up for Eastbourne.
So, I set up a thread and copied your posts over but I suspect Jane saw them and followed on ...
Hope it's OK to delete the ones here which are now duplicated in the Eastbourne thread?
