They have not played each other before.
...... but according to Andy they have practised together a lot in Miami so he knows Becker's game well.
So Becker will also know Andy's game well. Not that it should be any problem.
GOOD LUCK ANDY. game going well

Andy 3rd on centre court -4 ish?

Good luck. I saw the interview with Andy when he said he had practised a lot with him in Miami. Seems like the key will be nullifying Becker's serve and Andy being focused.
Given the changeable weather, although I normally do not like Andy on first, it might not be a bad thing all in all.
Good luck Andy!

Hope Andy has a good game, some of his shots were unbelievable today, so he has got his eye in. 2nd serve still a weak point though and when he tried to put a bit more on it he served a double! Never mind they were really enjoyable matches and I do love the green background
The forecast looks not too bad for tomorrow but there could be some showers - http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2643743
oop - http://www.atpworldtour.com/Scores/schedule.aspx?EventId=311
Although Andy is playing 3rd, Andy's match is the first in his half of the draw.
All the best for Andy tomorrow, I thought they had said on TV that Andy was first on centre tomorrow, glad he isn't though!
The Very Best of Luck Andy!!!!:thumbup:
Very best of luck Andy. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Around 4pm suits me very well indeed!!!
The BBC weather forecast indicates a fine sunny day in London.
Hope it's more like 5 then I will get to see some of it. Saw the last 2 games only yesterday and that's all I've seen of Andy on grass so far ..... I hate work in the grass court season. It really scuppers my tennis viewing
Best of luck, Andy:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
Grrrr. :grrr: 4pm is probably the worst - would be great if it could be either 3 or 5. Hoping to leave the office just after 4, so it means I won't get to see Andy if his match starts then. Really need to get work/tennis better coordinated! I am on leave the 2nd week of Wimbly though :) just so that I can make sure I don't miss any of Andy's matches. :cauldron:
Anyway, best of luck today Andy.

Remember the days when I missed tennis matches because of work though we did have a tv in the staff room and Wimbledon was always on. But if I didn't have any free periods on the afternoon of a match I wanted to see and there were meetings afterwards I used to be going quietly mental. Thankfully most days did get home before 5 so could catch some if it.
Time for some Andy I think. :)

Let's go Andy, let's go!!!!!!!!!!!!
Although I've already seen 'The Man Behind The Racket' tv trailer for Andy's documentary, each time I see it I get excited!
Wimbledon for me is really going to start with a bang with that documentary put on just 12 hours before the championships begin!
Early break, nicely done Andy.
kitkat! does andy ever use a peaked cap against the sun?

kitkat! does andy ever use a peaked cap against the sun?
Yeah, sometimes - he wore a cap in most matches for a while a few years ago - doesn't seem to much any more though, unless the sun is really bad.
I'm watching on the beeb - who's the very trite scottish commentator?

I actually quite prefer him not wearing the cap really.

Andrew Cotter, and I quite like him, actually - although that may be cos I'm used to him commentating on rugby, which he's brilliant at.

Yeah, me too. I know they cut out some glare, but they also restrict your field of vision, so much better to do without if possible...
2-1 Murray
Pity Andy couldn't take the BP, although Becker did well in that awesome rally to get it to Deuce.

Me too.
this game is a chance for andy to experiment a bit, serve and volley, second serve ace etc
who agrees?
Double break in the bag. :) Andy firmly in the driving seat.

Some great grass point construction by Andy! Excellent use of guile, power, defence, attack. Particularly interesting to see him hitting some harder shots than yesterday.
Second break (slight gift at the end).
C'mon Andy!
Lovely weather at queens today, much prefer watching the tennis on grass with the sun out, the shadows amuse me at times!

Should have kept my mouth shut!
Dang, Andy saves a couple of break points but Becker manages to get one of the breaks back.

Yes when two breaks up, no when one break up! :)
Much better stuff in that game from Andy, 5-3. Hopefully breaks now and gets the 1st set done.

One set down. Bit of a lapse a one point from Andy but good overall.

Gets the break in the 2nd set. No giving it away Andy.

andy getting some decent serving practice today
Yeah, doesn't look too bad does it! :)
Very happy that Andy is getting some decent grass court match practice under his belt - had a good amount of time on court yesterday and is having some at the mo, looking like he will get some tomorrow too! (But let's not speak too soon, Becker isn't playing too badly himself)
Andy, hold! :grrr:
Edit: Break given back, loose game from Andy.

I think Andy is taking it easy to some extent. I'm sure if Becker starts playing out of his skin then Andy will up his game. Perhaps I shall change my mind now and say Come on Andy...play properly - after that game.
Andy has probably now viewed that he can win this match against Becker and therefore playing it slightly down to save energy against a possible Tsonga semi, maybe?
tictac! andy giving becker another lifeline, who knows but he might start to steer the ship.

Has to be worth seeing....
Oh dear BP again, please hold Andy!

Oh dear, this is turning into slightly harder work than I was expecting...
The first few games of the match seemed too easy - Andy seemed to get bored and mentally switch off. Now he's having trouble putting his brain in gear again.
Gorgeous shot!!
3 BPs! :)
Andy breaks back. Back on serve now :)
Manages to break back next game, hopefully that's him focused again.
and now andy is having to play properly, not the careless flashy stuff that gifted benni 2 breaks. brings it back on serve, 3-4
Manages to break back next game, hopefully that's him focused again.
Looks like it. A strong hold takes it to 4-4
Much more solid there to hold. Break and finish this quickly please Andy.
2 aces and a 'should've gone to specsavers' challenge
:phew: A good challenge this time and Andy manages to hold.
Please break Andy, not liking the idea of a TB.
TB not ideal, but he won his tiebreak yesterday, hope he'll be fine with this one if it comes.
Must hold game for Andy now.
Becker has just ruined my chance of getting a PS (I predicted 6-4 7-5) :grrr: I nearly went for 7-6 too!

well, a win. did andy make benni look good, or did we see the real becker in the second set, showing us that he had 3 scalps on his belt coming into this game?

Well done. Especially to have avoided a third set. It must be hard when you know you are much better than your opponent, are hitting some good shots and... what shall we have for tea... oops...
At least he has shown this week that most of the shots are working most of the time, which he is going to need tomorrow!

Maybe 2nd was tougher than need be but we can't expect perfection at this stage and Andy won the important points. Great that Andy's oin 3 matches in straights and I'm sure Andy will step it up in the semis if as expected he faces Tsonga. To think not so long ago it wasn't clear if Andy would play here, well done!
Well done Andy. Bit of a murraycoaster but hopefully Andy has shaken off some of that rustiness and wll up his game against Tsonga

I wonder if anyone knows if there's a video of it online, it was on eurosport wasn't it?
They showed it again just before this semi started. I didn't manage to find a copy on-line.
