Just putting the finishing touches on the grass and everything will be perfect. I've got plenty of strawberries:wimbly: and Pimms too, it can only mean that Wimbledon is round the corner. :big grin:
As always rules and leaderboard are posted here (http://www.andymurrayfanforum.com/forums/showthread.php?1630-Bubble-Gap-Championship-2013&p=116180&viewfull=1#post116180) (now updated with results up to French Open). The aim of this competition is to guess the bubble gap after Wimbledon. The current race rankings are as follows:
http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/8160/073a.png
The current bubble gap is 1395. That's Andy's score(3160) – Gasquet's score(1765) = 1395.
The highest possible bubble gap is 3385. That's Andy winning Wimbledon, Gasquet losing in the 1st round and no-one overtaking him.
The smallest bubble gap is 340. This involves Andy losing in the 1st round, Gasquet winning Wimbledon and Wawrinka the finalist.
So in summary, your guess is between 340 and 3385. If you don't want to do any maths then just guess a random number and see how things turn out!
Remember that you can't guess the same number as someone else and once you've posted your guess you can't change it.
Ranking points on offer at Wimbledon are:
R1: 10
R2: 45
R3: 90
R4: 180
QF: 360
SF: 720
F: 1200
W: 2000
Good luck to all who take part and may the best driver win! :trophy:

I don't suppose any of us will go for that then!
I can't see the image of the chart of current positions - I've tried IE as well as Chrome.

Hmm I've got IE and Firefox and both display the image. Try clicking the link below, if it doesn't work I'll try re-uploading the chart.

14 drivers arrive on the green grass of SW19 to find amazingly that it's not raining. The drivers are rushed onto qualifying before they start downing Pimms in the pleasant weather (there will be plenty of time for that later.);)
Current leader Linda isn't going to relinquish her first place without a fight and posts a brilliant qualifying time to take pole position. Yorkie joins her on the 1st row.
JAMES4578 and Genbrit start on the 2nd row.
DaveArneRiise starts on 5th, hoping to continue his impressive top 10 finish streak of 8 going, followed by Sallydaisy in 6th.
Manaus and returning driver Ace! start on 7th and 8th, and finally leader challenger Elenive and pabbers fill places 9 and 10.
Hopefully we'll get underway soon. If the standard summer shower does arrive however not to worry, there are more than enough Pimms and strawberries to go round.:wimbly:
With Rafa out, I now expect to come last in this.

Nothing personal, but I hope so! (Since I think the rest of us all have Andy at least getting to the final):cauldron:

Yup - what ye sow, so shall ye reap..........:getcoat:
After a quick glass of Pimms and some strawberries the drivers are finally off. :strawberry::wino:
Some nice weather so far but I'm hearing complaints from the drivers about the track being slippery. Not quite sure what that's about, it looks fine to me, I'm sure it's nothing...
Linda's car is sliding around the track an awful lot for some reason as are many of the other front runners. Not sure what's going on as the drivers at the back are moving around the track fine.
Despite this Linda is still managing to hold onto pole but can she maintain the lead until the end?
I have just been splattered with an exploding left rear tyre from Linda's car and can't see anything so I am hoping I fail to make it round the next bend

Indeed, I'm not sure how it happened but Linda zips through a corner near the end of a lap and comes out of it with an exploded rear tyre. She quickly loses pole position with Yorkie and JAMES4578 overtaking but the front drivers are covered in tyre debris. With the end of the race nearing no-one wants to pit in so they continue on.
No clue as to what caused that puncture at that turn but I would suggest the other drivers be careful especially now with tyre bits on the road too.
Can the front runners maintain the lead? Can Linda finish the race with 3 tyres? I have a feeling that things are going to get chaotic...
Can the front runners maintain the lead? Can Linda finish the race with 3 tyres?
The answer to the first question is a resounding no. Yorkie and JAMES4578 try their best but the tyre bits obscure their vision and when they get to the bend where Linda punctured her tyre the same thing happens to them and they crash into each other. http://freeemoticonsandsmileys.com/animated%20emoticons/Funny%20Animated%20Emoticons/danger%20driving.gif
Linda tries to maintain control of her vehicle but it's futile and all she ends up doing is spraying the whole track with tyre bits before she has to retire.
It's seriously not safe out there as all the drivers are trying to avoid all the debris but inevitably everyone's wheels are getting damaged meaning that everyone is driving out of control. Maybe the safety car should come out or the race should be stopped...
...except the stewards are no-where to be seen. Where are they? It's havoc out there and no-one is watching the race. Even young Bernie has disappeared. I'm hearing very loud music and cheering not far off.:band::dance:No idea what's going on.
Anyway, it's become last man standing out there. Genbrit and DaveArneRiise quickly fall victim to punctured tyres too and retire from the race. The rest manage to stay on the track albeit with deep cuts in their tyres. After some very frantic driving in the final few laps Ace! is the one who manages to cross the line first followed by Elenive and Manaus.
No podium celebration just yet. We should find out what all that noise nearby is all about first. There's quite a party going on:party:, you'd think something monumental has just happened.;) We'll find out what soon enough...

Well done to Ace!, Elenive and all the point scorers. That was a fun 2 weeks wasn't it. :) I'm completely drained after today (in a good way). I'll update the leaderboard at some point (going to enjoy the next few days first!) and see you on the US hardcourts.
Well done Ace!, Elenive and Manaus. Ace! that's a monumental score - awesome!
:swingin: What a perfect time to win THIS! :boogie: Thanks ANDY, King of :grass:

Well done to Ace:thumbup:
Thanks Manaus! Well done to all those who avoided the wreckage and scored some points - especially Ace, Elenive and Manaus
Brilliant Ace! Congratulations! Thanks Manaus as always for running this competition, great to see you get a podium finish!!
Shame about the tire failures though, maybe next year we should make them out of grass instead of rubber!
Well done Ace, Elenive and Manaus.
And :thanks: Manaus for running it.
