77 - for 77 years of waiting for a British Wimbledon Champion and the date on which Andy achieved his goal i.e. 7/7/12.
The London-based company called 77 – inspired by the 77-year long wait before a British men’s singles tennis player became Wimbledon champion and the July 7 date that Murray won the final on – will oversee Murray’s on and off court interests, including those of his professional tennis-playing brother Jamie.
It appears to be a sideways shift away from XIX Entertainment so that instead of being managed as part of a group under their banner Andy now has his own dedicated team and greater control of what goes on.
The 77 team are:-
Simon Fuller - Business strategy (as he did at XIX Entertainment)
Matt Gentry - MD (formerly media consultant with XIX)
Mahesh Bhupathi - new business and sales (and links with his venture with XIX i.e. Globosport)
Ugo Colombini - tournament activity
Neil Grainger and Grenville Evans - Andy's long-standing finance and business consultants
Murray said: "The new company will allow me more freedom and the chance to become more involved in my business affairs. I've got a great team of people around me who I trust, both on and off the court, which in turn allows me to completely focus on my tennis.”

If they ever decide to manage actors or singers then ahem hello!
Andy has always liked to be in control of his affairs, I like the meaning behind the companies name touching.

Thanks Sally, appreciated!!!!
It's good that 7/7 means the same in American or British English - unlike 9/11 which I always have to "translate"
