I will be going holiday later this year and will be flying. I don't like landing part because very painful ear pain when plane start go down. When I kid always eat sweets and chocolate to chew and suck help reduce pain. It does help.

I haven't fly much when adult. I am vegetarian so I trying think any healthy version chew/suck when landing instead sweets/chocolate. I can't think any. Wonder any you any idea??

A quick google suggests Wethers Originals and Fox's Glacier mints are both vegetarian. Might do the trick.

I don't like Wethers Original but I do like Fox's Glacier mints. Plane used give them out free long time ago when I very young. I forgot about them!

Can't recommend any sweets but I always use earplugs during takeoff and landing and that helps

Know lots of folk say mints/sweets help but I've never had much of a problem with ear pain, never been on long flights though. I used to take the plane regularly for London but now tend to use the train instead, partly due to a 5 hour delay from Glasgow Airport once!

Doesn't matter what you use it is the mechanism of swallowing which relieves the pressure in your ear.
