ANTWERP - The Antwerp 250 also calling itself the European open is a new tournament for this year. Ferrer, Goffin and Gasguet were announced as headliners back in May. It is worth 250 points and the singles winner will get prize money of €108,000

STOCKHOLM - 250points. Delpo has received a wildcard into the Stockholm open. Past champions monfils and Dimitrov are also down to play, however as yet Berdy is not. He won the title in 2015, 2014 and 2012. With there being a chance, (though not a big one) of him securing a place in the race to London I'm surprised he is not down to defend his title in Stockholm.

MOSCOW - the VTB Kremlin Cup was Russia's first pro international tournament when it began in 1990. 14 of the 25 titles there have been won by Russians. They are likely to have a new champion this year as Cilic champion from 2014 and 2015 is not down to a play. Gasguet who won it in 2013 is due to play in Antwerp instead. If he gets into the draw it could be a good chance for Russian Nextgen star Karen Khachanov and Youzhney you has been playing well. Tippy and troicki are also both down to play in Moscow this year. Tippy won here in 2011.

I hope they've updated the Antwerp stadium - it was horrible when I went in 1997.
Henman lost to Marc Rosset in the Final ...

Hopefully nobody affected by :
Police have raided premises in Gent, Deinze and Antwerp in an anti-terrorism investigation. In all, 15 house searches took place in the morning. 15 people were taken in for questioning, 4 of them will have to appear before an examining judge. No weapons or explosives were found.
Those apprehended are being suspected of taking part in activities of a terrorist movement, e.g. financing it. Some of them are believed to have recruited jihadists for the war in Syria.

Just watched Delpo play Isner in Stockholm. Interesting match....dominated of course by serve. Glad Delpo won.

Fleming/Lipsky had MP at 9-8 in the MTB but lost the next 3 points and the match to the young Ymer brothers who are fun to watch with a great attitude smiling throughout the match. Tough loss for Colin however.

Goodness gracious...Moscow--I have just watched Bautista Agut been taken out in straights by a 19 year old Russian qualifier, Alexander Bublik, ranked hundreds of places below RBA! That scuppers RBA's chances of a place at the WTF. Young Bublik was really entertaining to watch and his physique reminds me of an 18 or 19 year old Andy....I always remember Bouncy referring to Andy then as a 'stick insect'! Bublik's like that! But what a serve! He faces another Spaniard, Carreno Busta, tomorrow. Will be interesting to see if he can produce the same level of tennis.

Goffin won the second set 6-1 and is a break up in the third.

Yes, Goff has won 10 of last 12 games and on a roll. My Goff v Kyle rematch/dream final is still on then!

I'm watching young Bublik again tonight. I love watching him play. Carreno Busta not so generous with his unforced errors as RBA was last night and Bublik lost first set but is already up a break in the second.

Absolutely brilliant match! Bublik took it to 3rd set TB. He didn't play the breaker so well but some of the tennis was sensational. PCB had to work very hard indeed for his win. There is something very refreshing about watching Bublik....he just gets on with it....no nonsense. Really entertaining.

Yes, he is a little fireball! He won a tourney earlier this year, beating Dimitrov, who behaved woefully in defeat and rather stole the show from Diego. I felt really sorry for him that day.

Who said doubles was an old man's game? With a combined age of 38 the Ymer brothers have just won the Stockholm final thrashing fourth seeds Pavic/Venus 6-1 6-1, great scenes. Swedish tennis on the up again.
