A possible second round encounter for the brothers.

Mariusz Fyrstenberg on how he got Andy to play doubles with him in Doha, 'I asked him on Whatsapp, 5 minutes later he said "yes sure"'. Nothing ventured....

Andy has a horror first service game. Two double faults, Djokosmash and is broken to love. 1-2

Andy's serving woes continue and he's broken again with a DF. It looks like he's lowered his ball toss, there's much looking towards his box. 2-5

Andy holds serve in the first game of the second set having lost the first set 2-6.

Andy just tripped on the umpires chair at the change of ends and went A over T. :big grin:

It was the loud "o f" that made me laugh. Good old Andy

Andy to Mariusz at the changeover "If we play 10% better we've got them".

And if they play 10% worse they get broken. 3-4

This will be the highlight of the match. (https://twitter.com/footfaulttennis/status/815909371049889792) :big grin:

At least Andy won't have to play Jamie in the second round as they lose 2-6 4-6. Maybe some serving practice is in order for the rest of the day.

Many thanks for the link, Bardot. The only highlight of the match was when Andy tripped over the umpire's chair.

Andy Murray loses in doubles and walks straight back out to hit balls in the 30 mins before the next singles in Doha.

Andy didn't exactly fire in the doubles but at least some court time and not main priority, will want to work on the serve!

To me, it felt like they didn't work as a partnership.
