I see that Fognini and Verdasco have got together for the dubs. Hope they have enough mirrors in the locker room for the two of them.

Nice to see that Ken and Neil Skupski have made the draw - they play 14th seeds Cabal and Farah.

Broady/Watson have lost to Knapp/Minella 5-7 6-2 6-7(5). Disappointing given Naomi served for the match at 5-4 in the third set.

Shame we are unlikely to see Nick and Dan in the doubles tomorrow. Nick is planning to withdraw.

It would have been fun to see them play together but possibly better for Dan to concentrate on the singles.

What happened - was tracking it on live score? Didn't they win it last year? :-(

Alis

Yes, they were defending champions. As I think they were in Doha too, where they also went out early. That's a lot of points dropped.

Oh dear. They will be upset, as am I. Two early losses.

Russell Fuller talked to Leon Smith on radio five live, earlier, and Leon was disappointed about what to Jamie and Bruno. But, then claimed at least Jamie will have more time getting used to the Canadian conditions and more practise. I, too, was very disappointed to learn about their early exit.

so disappointing with Jamie/Bruno out at the first hurdle-thought it might be an interesting match but not one of the biggest challenges-a bit frustrating. However looks like they were below par and possibly caught a hot team.:crying:

How thankful must John Peers be that he was binned by Jamie as he struck gold with Henri Kontinen. Just wonder how good a singles player he [Henri] might have been.

Was sure I'd posted here earlier but it's not there! Anyway entertaining doubles, well done Kontinen/Peers! Personally i was rooting more for The Bryans but happy enough Henri and John have taken a slam.

Really disappointed I missed this but my PVR stopped working during the night and neglected to tape that and the women's final. It had better not do that for the men's final!!! Anyway very happy for Kont./Peers!!!

Watching Mixed Dubs final. Think all the getting up early has messed with my sleep cycle. Have been awake since 2.12 this morning. Have to try and break this somehow!
