Jamie rocking the mirrored glasses! :shades: let's hope he can dazzle the other side!
I don't what's happened to Jamie and Bruno, as they're losing the first set 1 - 5
:crying: 2 - 6
come on guys!!!
Jamie and Bruno just not playing well today - they just lost the first set 2-6. Jamie, in particular, is not serving well - he lost both his service games. Unknown opponents of course but JB are much the more experienced pair. Let's hope they can bounce back in the second set.
When Jamie spoke about underestimating players, did he really mean those ranked 963 in the world? ;) They'll be dancing in the streets of Monte Carlo if Arneodo wins this. He didn't even get a wild card into qualifying this year.
Arneodo has earned $54 so far this year. Could just afford the chocolate cake at l'Hotel de Paris. :p
Arneodo claims to be 5'9". I demand a recount, he's a short article. ;)
Is Arneodo the one without the bandana around his head? Never heard of either of them before now! Yayyyyyy!!! J & B just broken serve!!
I've never heard of him either. Now 5 - 2.
 Hate deciding points!!
Set point missed by Jamie and Bruno, now 5 - 5.
Jamie's having a nightmare match.
Thank goodness - Bruno holds serve to at least earn them a tie-break.
5-1 at the changeover in the tie-break - c'monnnn!
5-2 with Jamie serving - c'mon Jamie!
5-3 - need to get this one.
Phew - one set all :yahoo:
Set!!! Now the dreaded mtb.
Much better from Jamie and Bruno.
Jamie having a go at the umpire about the state of the court.

Double fault from Jamie according to the scoreboard *2-8
*3-8
T'others have 2 serves for the match.
:crying:Oh dear, oh dear - just not their day!!
Oh dear dear dear!! Not good!
Jamie misses the return and the unknown pair continue their winning run. You have to say they deserved it - for whatever reason Jamie and Bruno were just not at the races today.
A fairytale story for Arneodo/Nys but a total shocker from J&B. Arneodo/Nys guaranteed a share of at least € 62,360.
Jamie and Bruno are better than what they did today.
Anyone else wondering if Jamie has had enough of tennis? I read somewhere that he sees it as his job, and doesn't pick up a racquet for pleasure? Reaching the pinnacle must have had an effect. He has been at it longer than AM?
Jamie and Bruno are better than what they did today.
Definitely. According to the commies, both Jamie and Bruno were battling with a virus today.
Have just heard on Sky that Bruno has a virus and Jamie isn't too well either. That would explain the result. Hope they feel better soon.

Surely all professional players regard it as their job. I can't imagine that many of them pick up a racquet for pleasure.

You are probably right, but there must reach a point where they think I can't do this traveling and constantly being away from home anymore. Didn't Henman pack it in about 4 matches short of 500 wins or something? It just struck me as being a bit sad for some reason.
So Jamie went to a pharmacy in Monte Carlo for a remedy. :nailbiter: ;)

Disappointing but can't expect too much with Jamie/Bruno both being under the weather! Know Jamie did consider quitting a while back at the point when he didn't have a great deal of success or regular partner, however despite not all going to plan this season don't think on his mind right now and it's a bit different for doubles specialists.
Didn't even see that match either. Sorry Jamie and Bruno lost. Next stop Madrid?
Get well soon lads!
Jamie is what - 31? Doubles players go on for so much longer than that - I would be very surprised if he retired anytime soon. I'm really hoping that when Andy finally retires from singles that he and Jamie play doubles for a while. Probably a vain hope but maybe - just maybe!
Sky interview with Arneodo/Nys (http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/tennis/10845587/monte-carlo-locals-beat-murray). Great story.
Lopez and Lopez beat Herbert and Mahut 6 - 1, 7 - 6 (7 - 4).
