Breakfast at Bernie's in Barcelona ...
Andy leads their H2H (http://www.atpworldtour.com/en/players/fedex-head-2-head/andy-murray-vs-bernard-tomic/MC10/TA46) 4-0 ... but they've never met on clay before, nor in Europe.
Sir Muzz has won all their matches in straight sets whether in Australia or the USA.
Should be an interesting morning ...

Does DC count? What about their SF match in Glasgow? 2015?

These are ATP statistics so DC isn't counted because it's an ITF event.

All the best Andy! I'm looking forward to this.
The first match on Pista Rafa Nadal hasn't even started yet. It must be raining.
Very best of luck to Andy. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
Andy has had a walkover, BT has withdrawn
According to live score, Tomic has withdrawn.

Just spotted that myself, so much for getting match practice!! Still, a win's a win I suppose.
Despite the rain, Andy is out practising.

It also seems that Feli Lopez has also withdrawn so Albert Montanes will play Andy. How strange that the 1st 2 matches on Rafa Nadal pista have had walkovers.

whilst not ideal hopefully Andy will be fine for next match, seems Montanes and Lopez are scheduled after all.

What is the matter with them. A gastric infection?
Tomic has withdrawn with a lower back injury. Montanes/Lopez is still on the revised schedule.

It's showing as match suspended on live scoring at the mo due to the rain.

It was on the schedule that Montanes had won because of a walkover has now been revised that they are playing also on the live score there was nothing written under eg match suspended as there was on the other matches due to start!!!!
Live rankings have Andy on the same points as before with no change if he wins his next match. Surely he should have 45 more and if he wins it should be another 45.

I think it must be an oversight. They've added 45 points to the race total.

What is your source please? We need to be able to check information like this.

Clearly some confusion over whether Montanes actually had a w/o.
Will close the QF thread for now.
Feli beat Montanes and will play Andy in the next round.
I had to go out this morning, and rushed back to watch Andy as I thought his match was delayed due to rain (had a quick wee peek at live scores when I was out and the match before Andy's was still on!) When I got home, I was very baffled to see Rafa already on court! Couldn't find a replay in Tennis TV, concluded something was going on so came on here to find an explanation! Andy could have been doing with having a match rather than a W/O, and it doesn't help that the forecast for tomorrow is grim too. But why am I not very surprised Tomic withdrew?
Have been busy today. Friend came over to help with housework. Some stuff still difficult with my hand. Panicked when it flashed up Murray v Tomic W/O. Very relieved to see it was Tomic bottling it, although I agree it would have been better for him to play. Lots on tomorrow, including Broady and Smith in the Stugart doubles. I enjoyed their first match.

Yes such a shame Andy didn't even get on court, better luck tomorrow against Deliciano.
Don't know whether Tomic just didn't fancy playing in the rain, or if the TD bribed him so they wouldn't get too far behind! ;)
I wasn't sure where to put this but I was wondering why it is normal for Federer and Nadal to come back after months out and win practically every match but Andy needs match practice after only 5 weeks off?

1. Andy needs a long time to adjust to clay.
2. Federer and Nadal had both long recovered from their injuries (Fed's knee and Rafa's hair transplant) before they returned, so did not feel the need to 'nurse' an injury.
3.They are better players than Andy - 18 and 14 slams respectively.
