It's a shame about Marcus Willis having to play Liam Broady today.

watched the final set of the match between Santillan and Kudla, 13-11 to Kudla. The low angle camera really does highlight just how hard these guys hit the ball, and the quality of tennis between the world's 189 and 196

I watched that too! As you say, amazing quality tennis and an endurance test too! Santillan really struggling with cramp. I don't know how he managed to go on as long as he did.

Just seen the tail end of Santillan and Kudla on Eurosport yesterday after Eastbourne ended for the day, was quite impressed-looked like it had been a gruelling match.

Shame Harriet had a match point too.
According to the BBC website, Broady and Willis are now playing each other on Court 11. Going to check it out on the Red Button.

Alex Ward has knocked out Go Soeda ranked about 700 places above him for a place in the final round of qualifying. Naughty boy......
What a battle between Broady & Willis!
It''s a shame that two Brits had to be playing one another but, if I have to take sides, I'm with Liam - he's trying to make it on the tour.
Marcus Willis takes it in 3 sets.
Willis takes it. Well done, Marcus - hard lines, Liam. Marcus could do with losing a couple of stones, I think.
He does look rather chubby for a tennis player!

Very chubby. However, he is through to the final round of qualifying.

Woud've preferred Liam to go through but couldn't quite put Willis away. Tough battle and credit to Marcus-hope goes well final round!

Jay Clarke into the final qualifying round! Great effort from the 18 year old.
Dunne plays Van Uytvanck first on Court 11 today. Willis plays Marchenko last on Court 11. Alexander Ward plays Gabashvilli last on Court 14 and Clarke plays Ofner second on Court 16.

I think that's heart v head. Sometimes the sensible outcome falls by the wayside to the feel good one. I must confess to rooting for Willis for that alone. Not to mention first round loser money will be handy for him, his wife and little Martha. I am not usually so soft.........

That excellent for him. £30,000 plus for his efforts. Given his ranking of about 850, that's an impressive performance. Hope he gets a Centre Court match.
So delighted for Alex who has suffered so many injuries in his career, hence his current low ranking. Hoping that the press give him due credit for making the main draw rather than headlining that Marcus didn't.

Some good news, well done Alex!
I think they've still got some qualifying matches today, because of the weather.
