Brown is a bit of a banna skin , he's good on grass, unpredictable but when on form can trouble the best. Just got to look at his win over nadal at Wimbledon to illustrate this!

They have played! Andy won fairly easily - I remember it.
US Open 2010 it says in the stats. Didn't realise it was that long ago!

Wouldn't be surprised if Andy takes a trip to Court 1 for this. Both Konta and Watson have attractive matches whilst Nadal/Young could be very competitive.

Hope you are right - I have No 1 court tickets for tomorrow..but I have a feeling they will put both Murray and Nadal on Centre.

So do I but do not think it is likely - probably Tsonga or Cilic.

Andy generally enjoys going up against players like this - it brings out the best in him as he relishes getting the better of a skilfull unpredictable opponent. Look how much he enjoyed that match against Nic Mahut a couple of years back - they were both totally involved and laughing at the end.
No - crossing fingers but not too worried about this one - if the hip is OK then Andy's tactical brain will win through.
(Bit worried about opponent no 3. Foggy was playing well- but thats another day !)
Forecast is hot and humid for tomorrow, a full day's play expected.
Hate too disappoint you, daisytoo, but Andy's on second on Centre Court tomorrow (after Konta). Though you will get to see Nishikori, Venus Williams and Halep.

Y'all need to watch VERY closely tomorrow because Dreddy produces incredible shots that are the dream of other players ... and he also misses far too much for the 'incredible' to be practical in winning a tennis match. I saw him play at the Boodles; he's entertaining and talented but not focussed enough to win against Andy unless Sir Muzz is having a very poor day at the office.
The Very Best of Luck Andy!!!:thumbup:
Dustin Brown's win/loss record at Wimbledon is 6/6 whereas at the other 3 slams combined he's won only 2 matches(2010 US, 2016 French), losing in the first round 9 times.
Just when my Sky+ box is being replaced. I will be more stressed than usual.
So do I but do not think it is likely - probably Tsonga or Cilic.
Sorry you won't be seeing him on Court 1 but hope you enjoy your day!!

Dreddy certainly has his moments but a few sloppy shots creeping in, Andy couldn't take advantage of the 15-40 though. Still seems to have the measure of Brown at this point.

Not the best game but Andy still finds a way to 5-1 and a seemingly straightforward win. Expected a bit more from Dreddy but Andy really has been in the zone much of the time, will certainly take it! Brown at least gets another game but Andy will surely serve it out!

Andy, 9 aces. First serve just 47% though. No Break Points faced at all; how rare is that? Just 5 unforced errors which include the two DFs near the end. Total points 92-61, which is quite a big win.

Well done Andy great win. Not a classic match to watch but nice and easy no Murray coaster yet
There is only one word for this match....entertaining. I know that word has probably been overused already, but I'll guarantee it's the key word throughout this thread! And every time the cameras panned round the crowd, all you could see was loads of people with big broad smiles on their faces...clearly enjoying the match. To me that was an Andy sort of match...a match where he could relish the challenge and the variety. Such a pleasant change from the slog slog slog of some of his recent openers and great to see Andy so in command and comfortable. Look out Foggy! You won't have everything your own way on Friday! Been a great day today. I'm on a high! Well done Andy and thank you for giving us all this pleasure and enjoyment.:bravo::clap::clap::clap:

Some nice words by Dustin Brown on his second appearance on Centre Court
"Growing up, you always dream to play out there. Would be nice if we're playing every match out there. It's very comfortable. Even when things aren't going your way, it actually relaxed me a little bit to say this is where you always wanted to be. It's the second time. Some players never get to go on that court. This one was the one I always thought about when I was a kid. It was an honour to go out there and play against a great player again. That was really nice and calmed me down a little bit. That's why most of the time when he [Andy Murray] was hitting ridiculous shots, I just laughed and said, 'good job, let's see if he does it again.' Yeah, he did for three sets, so it was too good."

Didn't come on here during the match - just didn't want to miss a single shot - what a match. Andy must have loved the chance to use his vast armoury of skills, lobs, droppers, passing shots, acute crosscourts - such entertaining tennis that we don't see too often.
OK his serve was below par, but if it had to be one day this was the best opportunity. Onwads to Foggy and the second week ;)
