View Full Version : Shanghai 2011 ( 7'5 6'4) and new World #3
So good to hear the news! Well done Andy. Just brilliant. :yahoo:
The commies keep saying Andy wants to be ranked as high as he's ever been ranked and end the year as #3.
But his CH is #2.
Wish they'd remember that .....
TV often seems to focus on year-end rankings and I don't think Andy has been higher than 4 so far at the end of a season.

Awesome win!!! Ferru really battled hard and it was great to see that. Andy had the answers in the end. Really didn't think he'd lose. What a fantastic few weeks for Team Murray.

Just watched the match on sky+ and very impressed with how Andy played for most of the match - he had his moments, but it wouldn't be a murraycoaster without those moments - loved the aggressive stuff - so good to see that forehand working so sweetly!
Awesome Andy!
And the 3's kept on working - 3rd final, 3rd win, no 3 in the world (lotto triple rollover and guess what - we had 3 numbers :rolling:)

Great.:)
But how did you manage to get through the whole day not knowing whether Andy completed the hat-trick? The waiting would just 'kill' me.lol. I had to go out for a run (with members of the gym I work at) this morning but as soon as I got back from the run I asked the guy behind the bar to temporarily change the big screen in the foyer (20 people were watching the rugby) to the tennis. "Pipe down you rugby 'louts', Andy is playing". Ok, I never said that, but you get the idea. hehe.
Teletext, mobile phone, word of mouth--I wouldn't be able to go a whole 12 hours not knowing the result. Well done to you, Helen. ;)

I was so proud of Andy winning three tournaments in Asia. I watched him play in Tokyo and was amazed how well he played agains Nadal. The last set was brilliant and as Nadal said he was unstoppable. Never seen him play so well since he beat Roddick at Queens last year. If he continues to play so well, next year will be tremendous. So I hope Andy steps into the New Year well rested. Of course he still has Paris and the O2 hope he does well there too.
