Have just noticed that the BBC start coverage at 2.00pm on Monday, missing Jamie and Bruno. Thank goodness for Sky, who start at noon.
I don't think the BBC have ever shown the doubles, but I could be wrong.
The BBC have never shown the doubles, Jan. I'm going to miss Jamie and Bruno as I've got to be in London on Monday for a funeral.
Jamie and Bruno play the Bryans at noon today. All the best of luck guys...
Very best of luck Jamie and Bruno. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
The Best of Luck Jamie & Bruno!!!!

Lost the first set ...5 - 7 :crying:
lost that from a winning position too, both of them dropped serve, what a pair of muppets!
6 - 6 ....tb time...:sofa:
One set all (7-3 in tb)
mtb time :sofa:
revenge of the muppets, they did well there to come back from being a break down
Not off to a good start in the MTB.
They lost 8-10 in the mtb :crying::crying:
not quite, lost the tb10, but fought hard after a very shaky start
What a close match that turned out to be! J & B appeared to be cruising to the first set, but within seconds the set was turned on its head and they lost it. Great comeback in the second set and they nearly made it in the dreaded MTB. Shame.

Gah! What a frustating loss. But at least got a set, which helps in RR format.
Gutted! They really should have taken the first set.

Tight but disappointing for Jamie/Bruno even if they fought back well in the 2nd, still in the hunt though.
I was there. There was absolutely no positive vibe and neither of them played well. The evening doubles match by contrast was a corker. All players were sharp and fully engaged.

I wonder why? I hope that doesn't herald a split.

According to commies yesterday they have signed up to play together in 2018....certainly for Australia anyway.

Have to completely agree. It was tough watching. Hopefully they can improve tomorrow
I heard they'd lost, on radio 2, after the funeral.
Jamie and Bruno are due to play Dodig and Granollers at 6.00pm today. I wish the all the best of luck
All the Best Jamie & Bruno!!!
Nearly time for J&B! I really hope they have a good match. Go boys!

Murray/Soares win on Friday is enough to qualify
If they lose, will still progress in 2nd if Dodig/Granollers beat Bryan/Bryan
Fantastic! Well done, Guys.:dance::dance::dance:
Well done Jamie and Bruno.

Dodig/Granollers have withdrawn so J&B MUST win their Friday match against Kubot/Melo if they want to make the SF.
I read about Jamie and Bruno only dropping two games, which was brilliant news. I hope they can win tomorrow.
Dodig/Granollers have withdrawn so J&B MUST win their Friday match against Kubot/Melo if they want to make the SF.
Can someone please explain to me, in words of one syllable, how Dodig/Granollers withdrawing has a bearing on the eventual outcome.
If D/G had won, J/B could still go through with a loss.
................ but the Bryan brothers are playing the alternates. If the alternates win doesn't the same apply?
Not before 5.45pm (17.45pm) for Jamie and Bruno's match today.
As Marach and Pave beat the Bryan Bros, does that help J&B in any way? I'm a bit confused now and not good at number crunching!

Alternates Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic beat the Bryans 6-4 6-4.
If Kubot/Melo win later: 1 Kubot/Melo, 2 Bryan/Bryan
If Murray/Soares win: 1 Murray/Soares, 2 Kubot/Melo
Apparently....
For those wondering why, a Marach/Pavic and Kubot/Melo win means this:
Kubot/Melo win group Murray/Soares, Bryan/Bryan and Marach/Pavic all on one win each
Marach/Pavic eliminated as only one match played
2nd place goes to Bryan/Bryan, who beat Murray/Soares on H2H
All from Stuart Fraser - haven't a clue myself!
All the very best of luck to Jamie and Bruno
Good Luck Jamie & Bruno!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

Think likely to be tough (though played very well previous match) but it is in Jamie/Bruno's hands. Didn't expect the the Bryans to go down in straights again, though wasn't so much a surprise against Kubot/Melo.
wow! JB won a DD! break up already
This is on Sky Arena the free Sky Sports Channel.
and they did it again, Jamie now to serve at 4-0
Go Jamie and Bruno!
No Sky, so I can't watch
melo now at 0-5, JB could really do to get another break, and serve first in set2
OK. so Bruno will have to serve it out
BRUNO dropped serve - on purpose? to have another chance of a break? that was a tactic djo employed
First set to Jamie and Bruno...6 - 2....great stuff..:yahoo: :yahoo:
JB did it , 6-2, and they will serve first in set 2. they won a DD at set point, good stuff
Go Jamie and Bruno!
No Sky, so I can't watch
Always live radio commentary on BBC 5Live Sports Extra.
Just put the laptop on to find Jamie and Bruno have won the first set and are now having a toilet break.

What's a DD? Cup size?I'll keep you abreast of it... Deciding Deuce.
well i too am now watching TV, JB a break up, Jamie doing the damage, and KM failing
I'll keep you abreast of it... Deciding Deuce.

No Sky, so I can't watch
Bet365, all matches on there, just register and put a £5 stake, you don't have to spend it
J&B are playing well but the way Kubot and Melo are playing you could almost be forgiven for thinking that they want Jamie and Bruno to go through! Whoops - I take that back K&M have two break points - c'mon boys!!!!!
...... and Jamie serves a double to drop serve - drat! Just break again, guys.
dropped serve, df on DD, so Melo? at 2-3
Melo needs to remind Kubot that if they win they play Kontinen/Peers and not Harrison/Venus. :p
4-3, held serve after a DD
Melo needs to remind Kubot that if they win they play Kontinen/Peers and not Harrison/Venus. :p
My thoughts precisely!
Well done, Jamie and Bruno.

It was! A good performance
Well done, Jamie & Bruno. But isn't it horrible that 40-40 is match point!
Well done, Jamie and Bruno! :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo: Thanks for that last game, Marcello. ;)
won set 2 by winning a DD! they're into the semi final

SF's babies ...
:shades:
Well done J&B!:clap::clap:They deserve to be in the SF. I watched the match earlier, but as I had to be out by 7.15, I had to dash the minute the match was over. What good timing! Match finished about 7.13, so I was able to go out without fretting about having to miss the end! Thank you J&B! Bruno was very good tonight I thought. Going to miss the SF as I have to go out about 5 tomorrow eve, so I will definitely be fretting then! So good luck boys! Kontinen and Peers look out!
You beauties!!
An interesting interview with Chris Kermode.
I missed the Kermode interview - what did he say?
It was questions from the public to Chris Kermode, though I didn't see all of it. They started off with Nadal's demand about changing the surfaces of the WTF. Kermode dismissed it. They then went onto the practice courts at the O2. He claimed they would like to see the practice courts being outside, but the area is being built up and the weather is never a guarantee. They also talked about what happened, recently, during the Next Generation finals and something about a clock and clapping (I didn't see it). He thought they might bring that in, in two years time (but it would depend on how the players felt). They then talked about why so many players got injured towards the end of this year and what can be done about it. He claimed that it's believed the surface changes are to blame, but the hype about all the big names being injured towards the end of this year is just hype. He believed that all players, when coming onto the circuit, should know how to look after their own bodies and what to do. I turned the laptop off when they went back to the Next Generation finals again.
I wish Jamie and Bruno all the very best of luck this evening..
Good Luck Jamie & Bruno!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

A tough one but Jamie/Bruno have been playing very well in the past few matches , Kubot/Melo though maybe weren't totally focused last night (different matter in 1st semi) Hopefully it goes well!
I wish Jamie and Bruno well. Could be a deja vu match for them, if they win this evening. Kubot and Melo in the final!!

Following on livescores. Hope they can pull this match back as they lost in the semi's last year.
Jamie's serve gets broken.
Kontinen and Peers winning 3 - 1.
Kontinen and Peers winning 5 - 2.
Jamie and Bruno lost the match - gutted for them :crying: :crying: :crying:
Kontinen and Peers win the match 6 - 2.
I suspect Jamie will be looking for a new partner in the new year.

Certainly disappointing but Kontinen/Peers the stronger team. A closely contested first set and some gtound for optimism with 4 saved sp's to force the TB,unfortunately couldn't contain the defending champions subsequently. Whilst hoped for more still a good run but this season not really been like 2016.
Jamie and Bruno just weren't good enough tonight.

I suspect Jamie will be looking for a new partner in the new year.
I thought they had agreed to partner next year
J&B are now 1-5 against Kontinen/Peers having lost the last 5 matches. The best shot John Peers ever played was that missed easy FH on MP against the Bryans at the Tour Finals in 2015. :p ;)
I seriously hope not, Linda.

A really commanding display from Henri and John, well done! Has proved to be challenging defending title throughout the years and so impressive. Pity Kubot/Melo couldn't make it a bit closer though.
