Interesting to see how this pans out.
I hope Delpo wins this. He seems to have a good draw.

I'm bored already and it hasn't even started. They may as well give Fed the trophy now and save us all the trouble.
Having said that, I do hope Potty steps up to the plate!!!

Exactly how I feel. I have zero interest. ATP Tennis has simply become The Federer Show. As Sherlock would say “Boring.......”.

I am hoping DelPo can win it too. He is one of the few players that can beat Federer. We mustn't forget Kyle either. I won't be watching any of the mens' as I am holiday as of tomorrow for 11 days but on Teledeportes Spanish TV I should see some of the ladies matches.
Can anyone tell me which channel is televising IW please? I can't seem to find it listed anywhere.
I'm watching it on Sky Action but hopefully it will also be available on Tennis TV. :)
Thanks, Karanga - I must have just missed seeing it listed.

So mad with the Canadian sports channels. They showed three hours of IW last night but AFTER both Denis and Peter (Polansky) had played. What is the point of that??!! Thank goodness I have tennistv.
Do you watch Tennis TV on your laptop or can you stream it to your TV?

I watch it on my ipad or home computer. We've tried it on the telly and the quality is appalling.
IW is on SKy Action (407) and Sky Arena (408) . Yesterday it was scheduled to be on Sky Arena in the Radio Times, however it was only on the red button off 408, so may not have been in the listings. So if it is not in Sky listings maybe try the red button on those channels.

This is happening again now. IW is on the Sky red button off channel 407. However it is not on the listings until 9.30 pm. It was listed in Radio Times from 7.00 pm. Sky sucks when we pay so much money for their service.
Great order of play from IW tonight.

Also Djokovic, Federer, Del Potro in action later.

It will be the second match on the main court - the first is a WTA match.

erm, there's already been a few upsets at IW so far, perhaps there's another on the court?
Simon Cambers @scambers73 (https://twitter.com/scambers73) 4m4 minutes ago (https://twitter.com/scambers73/status/972936520742195203)From 5-2 up in the first set, the wheels came off for Djokovic as Taro Daniel wins the opening set on the tiebreak. Milos got through safely enough 6-4,6-4 against Felix , will now face Sousa who caused another upset putting out Sacha Zverev 7-5,5-7,6-4. Good win for Monfils over Isner 7-5 in 3rd, easy win for Del Potro and straightforward for Fed in resumed match with Delbonis (though TB in 2nd).

And Thiem went out to Cuevas which makes me feel a little better as he took out Denis in the previous match.
I did not see the match but sorry to read that Dominic Thiem was forced to retire after injuring his ankle while serviing for the first set. It got worse as the match progressed and Dominic was forced to retire trailing 2-4 in the third. Hope it's not serious with the clay court season not far off now.
Come on Delpo.!!! :yahoo: :yahoo:
Love this description of Delpo and David Ferrer. :big grin:
The 29-year-old Tower of Tandil and the 35-year-old Little Beast are 6-6 in career meetings; opposites, it seems, really can attract in tennis, and play to a stalemate. Ferrer owned their match-up early, but starting in 2013 it has been all Del Potro. Since his one-sided win at Wimbledon that year, he's dropped just one set in their last four meetings. But that set came two weeks ago in Acapulco.

Just watched a really strange match between Chung and Cuevas. Chung won the first set 6-1, and was serving for the match at 5-0 up in the second set. However, after a 16 minute game and having had 7 match points, Chung lost the game allowing Cuevas only his second game of the whole match. Cuevas then managed to get the score to a more respectable 3-5, was serving for 4-5, but lost his serve and the match. Chung finally won on the 10th match point! It is looking really windy in IW today.

QF Mens Matches:
n/b 1pm: Anderson v Coric
n/b 7pm: Federer v Chung
Ages since I watched any tennis. Wouldn't it be great if Chung defeated Fed? Wishful thinking I know! x
Well folks woke up & couldn't resist a peak at the match, first set Chung gave a good account of himself, going toe to toe with Fed but experience prevailed & Fed took the first set 7-5, second set Chung just seemed to drift away & the experience of Fed just won the day as final set score says it all 6-!, so final score 7-5, 6-1.But have to say watching Chung this week he has a great future ahead of him & i think will achieve a lot more than the rest of the Next Gen.

Somewhat inevitable near the end, Coric had his moments but ultimately couldn't put Fed away ( who wasn't really firing on all cylinders but still stepped up when it counted and put enough doubt in Borna's mind)
I feel so sorry for Coric. He was the better player for the majority of the match and Federer has such an advantage all the time - as he has the crowd for him so obviously even cheering for service faults which is not sportsmanship. Sickening really.

Really feel for young Borna but he can be proud of the way he played. For much of the match he was the better player but Fed's experience was the deciding factor.
Thought the crowd were sickening. I wished there had been some Croat fans there waving the national flag and chanting encouragement. :grrr:
Oh well it's over to Delpo and good luck to him against Milos. I like Milos but would prefer Delpo to reach the final.
oh Milos , that was really horrible
That match was a pretty tame affair. I really expected Milos to put up a greater fight and give Delpo a much harder time. Anyway Milos did well to get to the SF coming off injury but I'm very pleased Delpo is in the final. Shall look forward to that tomorrow. More ranking points for him too!

Interesting to note that in their speeches, the very first thing Delpo did was to acknowledge Fed, whilst by contrast Fed left it to the very end of his speech before congratulating Delpo....almost an after thought! However what he did say was quite gracious. Fed did say he would be back next year....really Fed? When all is said and done, the tennis was brilliant from both players and that's what matters most. Maybe others are starting to see the light. Saw a few other comments on Twitter about how awful the crowd were to Delpo, when he had the temerity to be playing so well that their hero Fed wasn't winning.
Fed certainly was grumpy last night, I did laugh in the 2nd set TB when he barked at the linesman for calling a ball in that Fed thought was out and the linesman was immediately proved correct by Hawk-Eye. Mr PeRFect didn't appear to apologise and nicely followed it up by rebuking the umpire for not reminding him that a ball change was due so that he could change his racquet. Since when is it the umpire's responsibility to remind Fed to change his racquet? The commies didn't really call him out on his grumpiness because that doesn't fit with the media's Mr Wonderful narrative for Fed

You know what Pat, I think congratulating Delpo WAS an afterthought. He genuinely seemed to almost forget to do it, and he went on a bit too long for a runners-up speech. I guess he's got so used to delivering the winner's speech he forgot how to handle the runners-up one

I think he was as he said a few words in Spanish to them at the end of his speech.
I am really happy that Delpo won. It was great to see him at the end dedicate his win to the memory of his beloved dog, Cesar, by writing his name on the camera.

Too right as well! However, I got a fair bit of abuse from Fed fans in my replies to journalists' / Greg R's comments. These types have no humility in defeat nor respect for other players. The only way they appear to be able to defend themselves is by personal insults! Morons!!
