Copying over the posts from the temporary forum!
The way things are going, Andy's match will stop us from seeing the end of the Indian innings ... :D  :lol!: :bball:
India -488/5 at stumps
All out 300! That'll do. England have enforced the follow on.
Congratulations England. Whitewash!! Top of the World!!
Both of the T20 semi finals go to a Super Over! Leicestershire will play Somerset in the final.
India still can't buy a win as England beat them in the T20 match at Old Trafford.
ASE's nephew having a good day
Well done Lancashire!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cricket at the 2022 Commonwealth Games if Birmingham gets it?!!
If anyone is a cricket fan, it's just been announced the BBC will be showing matches from 2020.
Congratulations to England on completing a stunning fightback to beat India by nine runs and win the Women's World Cup at an ecstatic Lord's.
:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :trophy: :GBflag:
Because of the popularity of the women's world cup, cricket has moved a step closer to be included in the 2024 Olympics. The decision, for it to be included, won't be announced by the IOC until next year. If it does get in, India will seriously consider bidding for the 2032 Olympic Games.
The "Cricket Family" ballot is open for next year's ICC World Cup in England & Wales.

I was at the Grange in Edinburgh yesterday to watch Scotland beat the world number 1 ODI side who shall remain nameless to avoid embarrassment. :pirate:

Scary to think what we might have done to Australia!
Let's not mention Pakistan, although T20s are kiddies' cricket.
Jimmy Anderson takes the final wicket of the Indian innings and in doing so passes Glenn McGrath to become the all-time highest wicket taker of the fast bowlers.

Jimmy has has an incredible career - I really can't recall a lean spell.
Well done to Cook as well although, as you mentioned on the SPOTY thread, he's been disappointing this year other than his final innings.
The International Cricket Council have submitted a bid for women's T20 to be included at the next Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. It has been welcomed by Cricket Scotland, who will be supporting the bid.
I don't normally follow cricket, but oh-my-days, it was so exciting today! Was riveted to the last 30-40 minutes. Ben Stokes! Wow! Breathtaking.

7 of the team, selected to play a ODI against Pakistan (in Cardiff) this Thursday 8th, have tested positive for Covid19. The rest of the team and entourage will now have to self-isolate.
So, the ECB is working to create a new squad and back team in 48hrs!
