Great Britain Davis Cup Team will host Uzbekistan for their World Group play-off tie, September 14th-16th.h

It's confirmed on the BBC website that Emirates Arena, Glasgow will host the tie.

Glasgow's Emirates Arena will stage Great Britain's Davis Cup World Group play-off tie against Uzbekistan from 14-16 September. The losers will drop down into the Europe/Africa zonal group. After suffering a first round loss to Spain, GB are featuring in the play-offs for the first time since joining the top-level World Group in 2014.

When this tie was set up I never for one moment expected Andy to be participating, so it will be a huge bonus to see him play in the (real) DC one last time. He has played 4 set matches twice this week so hopefully he will feel up to 5 sets, especially if it's the doubles. One last DC Murray Brothers match would be awesome to see wouldn't it

Yes I've noticed the heavy ticketing promos but actually the event seems to be pretty well sold. I did a dummy run on the ticket website for a 3 day ticket and the best it would offer me was high up in the corners of the arena.

Until last week I had no hope or expectation that Andy would be in this tie but the way the LTA trailed the announcement raised my hopes tonight, so feeling a bit gutted now. Fair enough if others have announced teams. It just seems like they always did it on the Tuesday in the past but that might just be my perception. I guess I just really hoped Andy would play some part after he made positive noises about it last week but totally get that he needs to look after himself first. Well Andy's statement makes clear what playing in DC meant to him and particularly playing in Glasgow so I am very glad he had all these opportunities to play in his home country.

Yes, and on Sunday afternoon the Red Button is showing the World Championships dressage (and Saturday from 5.30pm the World three day eventing). Mind you, I don't suppose this is going to be an event that I need to keep a recording of for ever - unless it's to mark the final year of DC proper!

For me, the whole balance of the tie has changed. Had the results been the other way round (as most people expected), we would be going into today expecting to win the doubles easily, then tomorrow even if Norrie lost to Istomin, Dan would 'expect' to be an unknown, ranked over 200 places below him. But after yesterday, Dan will be up against a player full of confidence. So today's doubles vecomes a must-win match, which gives Norrie a shot at winning the tie on Sunday, if he can recover confidence.
Wouldnt like to predict the outcome. Any-one got a flight schedule for Philadelphia ?

Even though would've expected 1-1 surprising the way it tuned out,when GbB had great opportunity to be in the ascendancy. A long and dramatic day's tennis, superb win for Dan and but Cameron lost the initiative in 3rd was an uphill battle and unfortunately he could not respond in the manner required-still Karimov proved tough in the end.
