I sent an email to the LTA and asked them if it was going to happen next year, also I told them about the trouble I had with trying to find a parking space during the week in car park nine. The reply was:

Thank you for contacting British Tennis.

Thank you for the feedback on car parking, this has been logged by the team.

There hasn't been anything confirmed either way yet for Loughborough in 2019.

I sent an email, last week, asking for an update. I've finally received a reply:

Thank you for emailing British Tennis.

I apologise for the delay in reply. I was waiting for some information from our major events team which I finally received.

As yet it was not been decided if the tournament will go ahead, applications need to be submitted in the coming weeks to the ITF for events in the first quarter of the year. However events taking place in the second and third quarter of the year such as Loughborough have yet to be required to be submitted.

Long story short, due to this a decision has yet to be made if the Loughborough event will be held again next year at this time.

When a decision is made if it will be run and it has been ok'd by the ITF information will be available on the GB Pro-Series page with our website.

I'm sorry I couldn't give you an answer at this time.

According to the LTA's website, Loughborough university won't be hosting the tournament this year.

I contacted the LTA, yesterday, and told them the only criticism that I had for last year's tournament was the parking. I've now received a reply:

Thank you for contacting British Tennis.

I will pass on your feedback to the relevant department so improvements can be made going forward and apologies the event will not take place this year.
