The draw is out for Brisbane. Andy plays Duckworth in round 1 and possibly Medvedev, no 4 seed, in round 2.

Trying not to read too much into media reports, obviously a challenge but if match fitness returns Andy can make steady progress in the opening months of 2019.

10 hours ahead so presumably there is play at 1.00 a.m. UK time tonight. However, time and date in Brisbane in Google says it is "31 December" and the official website gives the Order of Play for Sunday 30th December, in which Andy is not playing, so.... does anybody know yet when Andy is playing? And please correct me if I have got this wrong! :)

No you are right David as I checked myself earlier & it starts on Eurosport at 3am UK & it says it's showing "day one" which to me is today's play (Sunday UK).....so I am puzzled & in the dark also!:wave:

I think there is a typo on the Brisbane website as the same schedule on the ATP website says Monday. https://www.atptour.com/en/scores/current/brisbane/339/daily-schedule

The tournament schedule says first round is on Monday and Tuesday therefore Andy should be playing on Tuesday if he is not on the Monda oop.

Jo Konta and Sloane Stephens about to start in the WTA Brisbane event so will watch this to try and stay awake for Andy! :)

Jo gets the first set 6-4 - very long set. Andy is next on this court but if they play three sets of an hour each....
Or.... always that frustration of the match before in not knowing how long it takes! :)

Great result from Andy and so good to see him back in play.

It sounds like we do need to really savour every match we see him in now.

It sure isnt the same without him.

Cant beat his grit and determination!

Got to watch the match on my ipad in front of telly showing NY celebration stuff. The match finished about 3 minutes before our midnight. What a great way to end 2018!!! Good luck Andy for 2019!

Well that was short-lived. Andy and Rafa both OOT! Bummer! At least Milos is still in but I have yet to see him play coz they keep sticking him on court 2 and tennistv is only showing the centre court. Maybe now he'll be bumped up the pecking order.

GB's Joe Salisbury is into the doubles final with his partner Rajeev Ram. They'll play Marcus Daniell and Wesley Koolhof on Sunday.

Watched the match between de Minaur and Tsonga. Great match. Young Alex is one heck of a fighter, though he didn't manage to get past Tsonga. But it was such an exciting match, and it's nice to see Jo-Willy back to winning ways again. The crowd really appreciated it too, even though Jo-W beat an Australian.

Really pleased that Kei won Brisbane. Not a classic match, but fascinating to watch. So no 'youngster' picked up a title this weekend.

whilst Medvedev shows some promise fell away a bit in the end, was quite glad Kei won the title mind you.
