Qatar and Pune 2018/2019 Main thread.
Luke Bambridge and Jonny O'Mara beat G. Granollers/M.Granollers in the semifinals of the men's doubles at Pune 6-4 3-6 10-8. :swingin:
Luke and Johnny are doing so well - only brits left in anywhere this week! I hope they stay together this year
Not quite, Joe Salisbury and partner have made the semis in Brisbane.
Started to watch Djoko and RBA in Doha earlier today, wondering if RBA could cause an upset. But when Djoko won the first set and was cruising towards what looked like inevitable victory, I gave up and moved on. Checked in an hour or so later, and couldn't believe the match was still going! By then, RBA had taken the second set on a TB and was a break up in the third! Of course, I was hooked again and quite amazed that RBA did indeed cause the upset I had wondered about. He played the match of his life, but who would have thought the final tomorrow would be contested between RBA and Berdy! Interesting.
Of the three ATP 250 finals being played this weekend, in Brisbane, Medvedev, age 22, is the only 'youngster'. He will face Nishikori who is 29. In Pune, Anderson is 32 and Karlovic is 39 but turning 40 next month! In Doha, RBA is 30 and Berdy is 33. I wonder if more 'youngsters' will step up to the plate over the coming months?

I'm glad I wasn't on hand to watch the Indian final: Kevin vs Dr Ivo - three tiebreak sets. Talk about watching paint dry.
Happy for RBA winning in Doha! Well done that man!

30 something is clearly the new 20 something

Anderson beat Karlovic in the tallest ATP final ever in Pune - 6'8" vs 6'11". Previous record was Anderson vs Isner.
