He certainly was. I would say he was understandably very cautious with regards to the longer term too.

Andy very, very emotional when asked to describe what it has taken him to get back on court, also saying "don't know how much longer I can keep this up". Coupled with the comments from his surgeon reported earlier, just want to cherish any match he plays from now on. Hope he can manage the hip and play himself back to his level or something near to it. Thank you Andy! :)

Bit late to the party but was avoiding all contact with the outside world till I watched the replay (without knowing the result.) I really enjoyed seeing Andy on court again and there were some priceless Andy shots in there. SOOO good to see. I think the long second game in the second set when Andy managed to hold onto serve was the key to the success of that match. We have at least one more Andy match to watch: great stuff. So good to see him back on court, and obviously enjoying being there.

I heard he'd won on the radio, while I was on my way back from London. They also played his on court interview. I know he claimed that he didn't know how long he could go on for, but I'm hoping for quite some time.
