Anyone with more money than sense?

Wish I'd seen this before booking flights and hotel .... I'm joking!
Although not joking about going. Flights and hotel are booked - going on the Friday before the tournament starts, couple of days sightseeing then Sunday and Monday at Roland Garros. I have registered on the website and already having nightmares about getting tickets! There will be 3 of us sitting together so I'll be getting tickets (hopefully) for one day and one of the others for the other day as you can only purchase 4 tickets for the whole tournamet apparently.
It will be my first time. Cannot wait! Hoping to see Andy of course but also really want to see Rafa on his "home" court before he retires.
Have spoken to a few people already but if anyone has tips or recommendations, I would be delighted to hear them.
Unfortunately I have no tips Caro, but how exciting for you! I am sure you are well excited, I know I would be. Have a fab time and enjoy the anticipation of the next few months. That's all part of it.

I have been with Tennisfan for the last 2 years for the men’s semis and Ladies and men’s final and had a great time. We are not sure about going this year as we want to go to the Laver Cup.
Caro, you may have a long wait to enter the queue but as you are going for the first week it might be that bit easier. The website does give lots of advice but if you miss out then the resale RG site is another option. We got men’s finals that way.
You could also look up last years forum posts for 2018 where you will see lots of discussion re tickets and we found these very helpful.

Just be patient and wait in the queue and don't refresh the screen. I thought you could only get 2 seats together but, hopefully, I am wrong

Got my two tickets for 31 May this morning after a complete nightmare. Fortunately, I had my work and home PC going or I would have ended up with nothing. My work one cut me out, but got lucky with the home pc. Find their site so confusing until you get to the payment bit. Eurostar appears to be down but as I get about 60% off, I will call them up shortly. Know Eurostar has mega problems at present.
Nightmare is the word .... I was in online queue for 90 minutes and when I finally got in to buy tickets my computer froze and after waiting what seemed an age for it to think about it ... it finally threw me out! So no tickets ... BUT luckily a lovely friend was also in and got the tickets for me. Was very relieved seeing as I was buying for 2 other friends as well as myself!
EDIT: Now very excited! There are 6 of us going. Can't wait!

Well done you will have a lovely time with 6 of you! Not sure what will happen when I give up work with only one PC to use!
Given that we are now coming to the end of the building work and a holiday would be a godsend we are thinking about going back this year. Going to have a nose at prices next week :)

Perhaps you could consider camping, Paris is supposed to be the world's most expensive city alongside Singapore and Hong Kong.
We actually got s good price hotel last year, a lovely walk from RG just trying to find it in my emails :)

Ooh, it would be great to meet up if were there st the same time
More tickets went on sale today for the French open. And after another stressful for week it had completely slipped my mind. Anyway despite being hugely late to the party meaning I didn’t get any PC tickets i managed to get SL for Sunday 26th and SM for Monday 27th :)
We had discussed Scotland for our 16 year anniversary but now it will be Paris :)
