Wonderful news. This last year and a half or more we have had so many long-awaited and eagerly anticipated 'come backs' from Andy and each time it ended in sadness as Andy was just in too much pain, but...this time? This feels so much better and there's every reason for optimism. Can't wait! Great that it's time again for 'green tennis'. Love it! :grass:

I'd hoped that Andy would partner Nick Kyrgios in the doubles at Queens ... I reckon they'd make for a cracking team on-court. But I suspect Judy Murray is much happier that it's Feliciano that'll be doubling up with Andy.

The only doubles I ever remember seeing on Centre Court was the final. I remember watching Andy & Jamie playing on one of the outside courts in 2010?? It was chaos. I think for safety reasons, it will have to be on a ticketed court.

I arrived about 9.30. Probably only 70-80 people already in the queue. Gates opened at 10.30. They let the first 800 in so it was very straightforward for me!

I imagine Monday's OOP will be put up after the qualifying matches have been concluded tomorrow. Queens aren't usually the first to get the OOP out!

So it could be as late as Wednesday. I know with quite a few tournaments first rounds can be played as late as Wednesday. Thursday would start to cause backlog problems!

That sounds very likely- they will definitely want it on centre so makes sense to wait till the singles draw is smaller and therefore less matches to fit in.

I'm going on Wednesday. Just seen the schedule for today and it's the bottom half of the draw playing. Does anyone know whether Queens always follow the pattern of bottom half/top half days for the 2nd round?

If so all the players I would have wanted to see, I won't as they are all in the top half. Lucky I will be there for Murray's comeback (weather permitting).

I had set a time for myself when I would give up and go home, 3.00 pm. No play by then so left the ground. Will have to look up rain refund policy!

If the weather forecast is right, no rain until the middle of this afternoon. I put the TV on, yesterday, and found there would be play at 1pm (13.00pm). It then got changed to 1.30pm (13.30pm). I gave up when the BBC then showed James Ward's match, again. Later, I found they would start at 5pm (17.00pm) even though the BBC 2 schedule claimed they would be showing a repeat of the Hairy Bikers episode until 5.30pm (17.30pm). I looked at the BBC website, after 5pm, and found it had been called off.

Indeed you did! There was a group of us watching Andy practice and shouting out chants. We got a wave from Andy. Then me, GillyD and supergran plus Paula who's a murraynator got interviewed. Angiebabez had her big saltire with "We missed you Andy" on it but she had just left when the reporter came over.

Had a great day there and the weather was kind, unlike yesterday. Enjoyed watching the Brits but had to leave for our train so missed the end of Wardy's match! I am told me and Gill were on camera at some point during that match though.

I'm not sure if I'm going crazy but I'll be interested to see how the order of play works tomorrow. Poor Auger-Aliassime has potentially 3 matches. The first one is second on, so starting say 1.30-2pm.Why didn't they put him on first?? His next match is not before 3pm but after suitable rest, even though there are 2 matches before this and the first doesn't start until 1pm. The last match not before 5.30 but those players again would have to have suitable rest.

I'm sure I must be missing something but I just cant figure out how those not before times are realistic.

With regards to Lopez and the OOP for today ...
- playing 2nd SF gives Feli the longest possible time to recover after playing late last night which is vital ahead of a key singles match where the 37yr old takes on a 19yr old 'young gun'.
- there'll probably be a short break after Felix v Feli whilst they adjust the court for doubles but not so long that Feli 'cools' too much
- the QF doubles match can either be won by Murpez winning 3 more games this set, and/or a tie-breaker for the 2nd set and/or a MTB for the 3rd. Whichever way it goes it could last 15 - 30 mins approx and Feli has the benefit of Andy on court to see him through it. So the QF doubles match could serve as a warm-up for the SF!!!
- by the time Feli reaches the SF of the doubles (if he and Andy beat Dan/Ken) he'll potentially have only played the equivalent of a rain delayed 3 set match ... and is well used to playing 5-setters at Grand Slams.

So, all in all this is probably the only OOP that would be practical for Lopez.

Gillou can try ... but Feli will know the Frenchmans' game style (the opposite to his own which is more serve/volley) and try to neutralise with his own style which is more effective on grass. Hence the 4/4 wins Lopez has on grass over Simon already.

Feli does look a bit 'serious'; perhaps the enormity of what he's trying to achieve today! Andy may have to do a lot of the work in their doubles match later.
