We'll have to wait a bit longer - Stef & Jezza going to a 3rd set.
Normal Andy-inspired behaviour has resumed in our house - home early from work, hubby cooking the tea - "I'll bring it you on a tray" - he knows there is no way I will move from the TV for the next few hours
How easy we slip back into our roles as Murraymaniacs!

Awe heck that was a joy to see!!! ....even though :crying::crying:
Happy days are here again!

Oh. My. Days.
It's actually happening!
Cmon Muzz!
How big is the cheer gonna be on Andy's 1st winner?
Please tell me I am not dreaming! Please please tell me I am not dreaming! Andy is on a grass court about to play a match at Queens? It is real, isn't it? Or a dream come true? Why am I in such an emotional state? Bottom lip quivering, eyes moist, lump in throat? But it's absolutely the most wonderful feeling...we've waited so long for this and the movement looks great. Can't quite believe it. Go Andy...and Feli too of course. :jitterbug:
Andy!! I’m watching from Annapolis and the tennis channel will show it once Fed v Jo is finished in Halle. Which it has. Jo almost won. So good to see Andy in action again. A very happy sight.

Several fabulous volleys from Andy. Could do with more first serves though ;)
All pretty safely on serve so far...

Great choice of partner for first comeback - working well together. Andy playing some great cross-court volleys. Very stern test though and Cabal/Farah looking pretty slick.

I quite like them. I like penalty shoot-outs too. Apparently, I’m not supposed to. Dave thinks it’s weird :big grin:

Early observations: Andy's looking fantastic, certainly surpassed my expectations. Volleying like a dream. Moving really well. His walk looks better and more even than I've ever seen, even before his problems. Totally agree with commentators, if Andy is pain free, and he certainly seems to be (and has said he is) no reason he can't get back to the top of singles. As they said, he's never going to play just make up the numbers. And finally, he so needs to get back with Lendl - those on twitter maybe start a few choice rumours and sabotage Sascha's coaching relationship  Andy and Ivan belong together
Game and first set Murray/Lopez!
Court doesn't seem very safe.
:yahoo::yahoo: What fabulous tennis! This is so unreal but beyond fantastic.

Andy showing some tremendous form and indeed some great volleys, serving could be a bit better and maybe a few loose points at times but certainly impressed! Fabulous to be a set up, great to get back on track after being pegged back in the TB. Tbh I'm not even thinking about Lendl at this point.
Win or lose this match, this is just so good to see Andy playing like this. What a transformation in his movement, esp the walk. No more 'limp-watch".

Totally agree Pat. Hoe Murraymazing was that. I'm so emotional at seeing him playing well, pain free, and enjoying it. :cheer::clap:
It was really good to see Andy back on the court, with a huge grin on his face, and we could all see what it meant to him. His movement was so good and his volleys out of this world. It must be wonderful for Kim and his team to see him pain free and back doing what he loves.
How much of a risk do you reckon I would be taking to buy a ticket for tomorrow to see Murray?!

So so happy for Andy, and lovely to see how chuffed he was in the interview with Catherine Whittaker on Prime, especially when he said he didn't think about his hip when playing
When I think back to the Aus Open match in January, sitting tearfully at the end of the bed and thinking it was all over for him to where he is now, it is amazing. One match at a time of course but such wonderful signs that he can do this

What a brilliant comeback! What a great reception and I loved the fact that no one had left in the break! they played so well together and Andy going for some of the shots we know hurt him in the past..........brilliant! His smiles in the interview
and Feli's words.........the best part is Andy being healthy! Loved it all, very emotional!!
Fan - dabee - dozy!!!! :cheer::cheer::cheer: Absolutely brilliant!!:dance::dance: So good to see Andy back enjoying his tennis and playing freely. Don't you just love Feli? Apologies if repeating as I haven't had time to read all the comments but what I enjoyed particularly was the confidence Andy showed in his body - didn't appear to be any doubt about his movement in any direction, seemed totally focussed on the tennis, not his body. Thrilled for him, his team and all of his supporters.
I'm off to watch that match all over again. It was just so special.

There was no adequate words when it looked like the 'end' in January & it's hard to find them now, absolutely fantastic & amazing!
Really enjoyed tonight's match. Nice to see Andy pain free and enjoying himself. Flurry got lucky with net cords in the TB but stamped their authority on set 2.
Onwards and upwards from here!

Yes one match at a time. The second set especially showed Andy in his first match post-operation can play as a top quality doubles player. As he has mentioned many times, the stresses of singles play on the hip will be very different, so wonderful to see him playing and happy today, but one match and one form of tennis at a time! ;)

What a treat today!!! Andy and Feli beating the top dubs team. Wow!!! And in straights, as well! Loved every single nano second of it. So happy to see Andy back. On grass. I was surprised Judy wasn't there but she was at some kind of horsey event I believe.
Wow! Poor Felix. Potentially three matches tomorrow after 2 long matches today. I hope he doesn't reinjure himself before Wimbly.

Just to say if anyone recorded, it's likely that the recording stopped at 4-2 in second set. You can find the full days on catchup under 'full day's coverage '. They don't put this up until late at night. This is the red button prog and goes straight through - rain delays et al. Take note for the future too I'd say.
So from the above you can probably deduce I only managed to see the end this morning but worth the wait to see what I'd expected from the scoreline last night. Fingers crossed that this recovery keeps on progressing onwards and upwards

You might find it on BBC iPlayer.
We had to go out to play skittles at 7.50 Watched it when we returned very late.
I sat there thinking something just isn't right, the same feeling as I had while watching the 1st set before we left?????
Then it hit me.................. Andy's not limping.
I have to admit that all this makes me very excited for the future for Andy, his family and all us fan's.
How Bl***y brilliant? :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

It was fantastic to see Andy back on the court, yesterday, and to make Cabal and Farah look like "amateurs", as I believe one of the commentators said. As Andy and Feliciano are last on centre court today, the BBC are really going to have to go out of their comfort zone and show two doubles matches today as Jamie Murray plays before him. It was a shame that the BBC had to cut the interview at the end. If they did end up playing against each other, it would remind me of years ago when I was offered a ticket to go and see them play against each other in a singles match. It was sort of at the start of their careers and Jamie seemed to push Andy all way the way. But, Andy prevailed and won the match.
Well would you believe it .... I had a long arranged meet up with friends last night which I couldn't cancel ... well I suppose I could have done but they are lovely friends and we don't get to go out that often. If Andy had played Weds like he was supposed to it would have been fine  So glad he is looking good. Can't wait to watch the next match later and then the replay of this one. Happy beyond belief that he's back. Always knew he would be if there was any chance at all and Bob Bryan gave him that hope.
