Guaranteed a British winner in the doubles at Queen's, although I have a slight preference...

Feli has the singles final first at 1.30pm BST.

I'm off to the HC Hotel in London, today, and check-in isn't until 3pm. So, I'm hoping the singles final will go the same way as all of Simon's other matches and goes to three sets.

It’s xxx’s law that I have to go out just before 3 today.

At the time of agreeing to go I didn’t even know he would be playing at Queen’s much less reach a final. Nobody in their right minds would have predicted this.

I am hoping that Lopez can finish the match in two sets, leaving him with plenty of energy for the doubles.:)

Feli:"Man, we are so happy to have you back on a tennis court". So say all of us Feli a hundred times over. What a grandstand finish. What a week! It's so unbelievable. This has been the most special Queens for very obvious reasons. Feli, no words to describe what he has done this week. And well played Jo and Ram. They didn't make it easy at all. Loved the faces of Judy and Kim. The best sight of all was when they won Andy leapt into the air fist pumping like mad. So so good to see that again. I'm so excited! Will not be able to sleep tonight. :trophy::jitterbug::jitterbug:

I had to go out, so set TV to record BBC2. Get home to discover they switched to BBC4.
So far can't find the rest of the match anywhere on BBC website or iplayer.
Not a happy bunny, I can tell you.
If anyone finds a link to the BBC4 section, please can you post it?

Oh and FAB result!!! (Though feel for Joe and Rajeev)

What a wonderful week of tennis!
:grass:

I'm overjoyed for Andy Murray.
Having gone through so much pain over the last 18 months (at least), and moreorless writing himself off in January, here he is - hoisting a trophy once again! He's pain free, fit as a fiddle, raring to go and, with the examples of the 'old men' ahead of him (Lopez 37, Federer 37) winning titles on grass, there's no reason why he can't go on for another 5 years and stock up his trophy cabinet.

No wonder he looked so happy this week being back in the game he absolutely loves to play. His team were understandably over the moon and I'm sure everyone is very relieved he's OK. He'll be a tad tired and sore - not in a bad way, just because he needs to adjust to matches.

Andy Murray is back with a bang and a Title!!!!
:trophy:
It's so good for tennis - not least the doubles which, thanks to him over the next few weeks, is going to be a little more in the faces of the general public!!! That's not to take anything away from the regular guys on the doubles circuit; it sure as heck won't do them any harm if the spotlight is on doubles!

I'm delighted for Feliciano Lopez too. He had started to move into 'tour directing' and had almost reached the point of quitting with various injuries this year forcing him to miss a lot of the spring season on hard and clay courts. Thank goodness Steven Farrow gave him a Wildcard and look what he's gone and done? Won both the Singles and Doubles titles even though he probably wishes he could have several new body parts fitted overnight. He's been a star and in a way it's a shame Andy and Feli aren't teaming up again next week in Eastbourne.

C'est la vie ... another day tomorrow, another tournament for Andy.
What's not to like?

Fabulous!

PS Does anyone think Kim might be pregnant again?

Andy's been at home a lot lately & that's all I'm saying....

You took the words right out of my mouth.........
Kim looked good today in what seemed to be a 'loose fitting' jumpsuit ...

You might find it on their catch up tmrw. I had a similar experience earlier in the week. I had to wait to the next day. In that instance it was there under
'Full day's coverage'. Hope that works for you. But yes they are awful. Move things around for no reason - except if it's football which is deemed sacrosanct.

Simply incredible, what a come back for Andy and Lopez had amazing week too- so determined! Lowered expectations after the singles final but awesome all round-of course ups and downs but they semed to gel so well and got through the tight moments. Competitve final and Ram/salisbury certainlhy played their part showing us their skills but was glad of the fairytale result (well certainly seemed like that at the begining of the week) :cheer::cheer::cheer:

Amazing - I'm still a little in shock and agree with everything everyone has said. Something must be wrong!!!
I always thought there was a chance Andy would return, but never dreamt that his first tournament back would result in a final win. Summer looks a lot brighter and the suns not even out!!!!

Just got back from the swimming gala in time to watch most of the match. Ladies Football on TV, Andy on the Laptop who says multi tasking isn't relevant. Great match and poor Feli must be shattered. I wonder if Andy is still going in the ice bath, probably needs it this week.

Same as everyone else. Absolutely overjoyed, can't quite take it in yet. From sobbing in January while at work and feeling in February like I'd suffered a bereavement, to tears of joy this afternoon. Andy really is the most remarkable man.

When he had the op, I hoped it would mean he could come back to playing but was not banking on it. I kept saying (to convince myself) that the most important thing was that he was pain free and able to enjoy a good quality of life with Kim and their daughters. All the while thinking that if Bob (or is it Mike?) Bryan can come back, then for sure Andy can. But you never know with surgery. Then to see him starting to hit again, hopes rise and you think "well even if he just plays doubles...." and "I don't care if he never wins another match, just to have him back playing will be enough". But this week at Queens. Wow. Sure, there's work still to be done. But the movement, the hitting, the fist pumping, the "Come on" shouts and just the sheer joy on his face. Our boy is back, and it feels absolutely amazing to see.

And I've got Wimbledon tickets, and am now really really hopeful to see him (order of play permitting). I'm still telling myself that it doesn't matter if he doesn't win any matches, just enjoy the fact he's back. Yeah right. I was screaming like a banshee at the TV this afternoon. Holding my breath when Joe and Rajiv got the 2nd set, pacing up and down, grabbing a cushion to hide behind. And crying when they won.

Oh, I've always loved Feli. He is delicious to look at. Wonder if he realises that forever more he'll be a Murray fan favourite, he can't escape us? He's adopted to the crew :) He has played incredibly well all week and how he was still standing far less moving after 2 intense days on Sat/Sun. He looked like he was really enjoying playing with Andy, and so special for him to get both the singles and doubles title today. What a week!

From utter devastation last January to sheer euphoria now. Absolute opposite ends of the scale. I still can't quite believe it! Andy! Not only to return to the tennis court but to be lifting a trophy first time back, his 6th Queens title to boot! Wow! Just wow! And with a partner who himself achieved something quite miraculous he never dreamt of, winning 2 Queens titles in one day after umpteen matches in a row. Hyperbole I know, but I mean, it's the stuff epic films are made of! (Will look forward to watching that one day with a box of tissues by my side). And to think there is more to look forward to. Realistically Andy is not going to win every tournament, (is he?), but just to have him back again and to know he is going to be around is just the most amazing feeling ever. The sheer joy of it. And we're all back on here again like a family gathering, going thru the ups and downs of matches with Andy, collectively cheering and groaning...the murraycoaster folks! It's back! And the driver is back with a renewed vigour and a perspective which makes him realise that whilst winning is great there is no pressure to do so. For him now it's all about being able to compete again sans pain. Just to see him so happy is heart warming. Bliss! Still feels like a dream! But it's not. IT'S REAL.

What a great four days, couldn't get there but watched all Andy's matches, so relaxed watching Andy, really made a change from normal matches. Never expected him to win queens this year so that was a nice surprise. Just happy to see him pain free, think we all know what he has gone through and it has been painful just to watch him fighting and refusing to give up whilst he was in agony.

Well said everyone - had to watch livescore whilst travelling down the M4 - agonising but brilliant too. Now have some very random programmes recorded on my Sky box. Loving the success and everyone's sheer joy at having our guy back happy and healthy. Well done Andy and thanks to Feli for putting himself through so much to make the return the best it could possibly be. Forever grateful for more special memories. :cheer::cheer::cheer:
