Most Challenger events will offer catering on-site but probably only at one main outlet. I've never been stopped from taking in my own picnic at these events ...

Hi all :) just checking if anyone is going to this and staying in Glasgow? I am hoping to go and wondering where everyone else is staying?

There's quite a few of us going. Though I'll be staying at home as it's only 30 mins from my house. Keeptheheid and I sometimes play there during winter when weather stops us using our club courts.
I would have loved to have been there. I hope for next year.

Yes it's the Mourne Mountain Marathon that weekend so my son will be flying home for that so I'll see him Friday night and then fly to Glasgow Saturday morning and back in time to see him on Sunday before he heads back to England. His team mate in the MMM is flying to ours from Glasgow :big grin: I'm only flying over for the Saturday but really looking forward to it :)

SOCIAL STUFF
Some are coming for all 3 days, most for Saturday and Sunday, the majority on Saturday and for the day only so there are likely to be fewer of you for a 'group meal' on Saturday evening.
Maybe someone living in Glasgow could book somewhere for those interested???
It wouldn't be an AMFF trip without a group bevvy ...

Yes me and hubby could do Saturday night.
I would Claire. Also, a friend from work is coming down with me. She was too late to request tickets through the Forum, so has bought tickets elsewhere for Sat & Sun - but I'm sure she would love to come along to a Sat night get to-gether, if that's OK with my Forum Friends? x

She's very welcome- I'll count numbers next Wednesday and see what I can organise. Thought I'd try Di Maggios first as everyone seemed happy with the menu last year?
Thanks, Claire. Di Maggios sounds great !x

Hi Betty (and others going)
Since this is not a Davis Cup tie there aren't any recommendations from the LTA regarding colour.
It's quite unusual for us to have a 'group' at an ordinary ATP event so in a way it'd be really nice if folks did wear an AMFF t-shirt so's others can see we're a gang of loyal Murray supporters!
:GBflag::maggie::rusty::knight::boogie:
But it is up to individuals what they choose to wear for this event .....

Does anyone know if there is a train station within walking distance of the arena?
That depends on what you call walking distance...
Taken from https://www.lta.org.uk/major-tennis-events/trophy-series/murray-trophy-glasgow/event-guide/travel--parking/
"By Train
From Scotstounhill Train Station, the Leisure Centre is within 12 minutes walking. Scotstounhill Train Station can be accessed through Glasgow Queen Street Station. "

Di Maggios Royal Exchange Square is booked for 7:30 on Saturday. They didn't ask for a deposit or make any rulings about menus so all very straightforward, hopefully it stays that way. See you all then x

Have an absolute blast everyone! How I wish I could be in Glasgow with you, I will be there in spirit if not in person. The tennis has been great so far, and can only get better. I hope to be able to make it next time, wherever and whenever that will be. I hope I will have less commitments by then. Hugs and love to all the wonderful folks I have come to know. :grouphug:

It was a great weekend and week for some. The Murraynators are very well organised in their gear and obviously there were more of them. Judy and Jamie love them as they do a lot of fund raising for the Foundation. Most of them based in Scotland so easier for them to do kilt walks etc. One has to admire how they've grown over the last few years and how their name shows support for both the Murray brothers. Have lots of Murraynator friends. But AMFF members were vocal, dancing and singing and supporting with gusto.

A few of us had our Team Murray t-shirts on but nothing like the number of Murraynators with their t-shirts.
I'm at the point now where I really don't think it matters who's who. I used to get irritated that we were the original group etc but we are all Murray fans at the end of the day.
They think it matters though.
I will at least credit them with being proper British Tennis supporters, as we haven't seen hide nor hair of the Barmy Army since the Emirates.
