All I can say is I am glad I didn’t watch that tiebreak live - it would have done serious damage to my nerves. Well done AM. It can’t be easy getting used to changes in surface conditions at this stage of his comeback. Coppejans gave him a good workout, but AM still won in straight sets.

Just watched the match on Tennis TV replay.
Well a win is a win but probably the first match I have watched in these comeback games which felt a bit like duty.
But over the years Andy has had some indifferent first round matches, so all part of the return I suppose - last week was so good easy to forget you have to start again each week! Well done Andy.

Another match where I felt Andy was distinctly average... if that... but where his opponent had to play tip top tennis to win the games he did. So very positive in a strange way.
