View Full Version : Queen's 2020 - who's going?
Just wondering if anyone is consideing going to Queen's this year? I've entered the Wimbledon ballot but thought I would try Queen's for a change this year. Pre sale starts 11 Feb I believe.
For those who have been in the past, any recommendations of what block to try for?
Also, any suggestions of where to stay?
Thanks

Definitely going to try for Queens' tickets again. I always go for North or South Stands but East block is good too. Would recommend you spend the extra and go for Premium Seats.

I like going to Queens as so easy to get to for me and a great venue too. I am going to leave it until the very last minute and hope to be able to get a ticket. Been doing it this way ever since I had tickets for the day that Andy wasn’t playing!!

I'm thinking of going. Never been before and not really sure why TBH. I booked the day off work for 11th Feb when the LTA sale starts so I can have a stress free attempt at tickets. Now thinking about which days to go. Possibly Weds and Thurs but not decided really

A good budget hotel is the Travelodge on Fulham High St. I've used it for Wimbledon a few times including last year. Only 17 minute walk to Queens according to Google maps. While it's basic if you upgrade to a Superroom it's fine. They only provide overpriced breakfast boxes but there is a fab cafe a few minutes walk away that serves a lovely breakfast. Best scrambled egg on toast I ever had

My first live tennis match was at Queens the year of Rally for Bally. Bought tickets for the final and flew over on the day because I knew Andy was playing for the charity match whether he was still in the tournament or not. An amazing day finished with a lovely conversation with Willie Murray at the airport!
Take cash, there were no card machines :)

I have got several tickets, going with Jackie55 on the Tuesday/Friday and hoping to meet up with Mickey on the Wednesday. The Premium Seats went very quickly and didn't get the sections I wanted on a couple of days.

Going on Tuesday with Nessie + 2. Warning - it nearly always rains when we go. Last year we didn't get to see a single ball hit and spent all day in the refreshment tent, thankfully with seats.

Yes I was there last year on the Tuesday but previous years that day has been OK

If no luck with Wimbledon might consider, though been there a few times when the weather was pretty bad.

Love 3 of the above 4. Stef would be my fave if Andy doesn't play
Not sure if it's definite about Andy, not sure if it's confirmed but that is what they have posted, so fingers crossed!

Andy signed a deal with Queens in 2017 to participate throughout career, however obviously fitness permitting. If he has a further operation would rule that out.

Got a surprise refund today on non-refundable booking for my hotel for my cancelled Queens trip so that's train and hotel refunded with tickets rolling over to next year

I see that Queens are running a poll this week with a draw of past champions and a few wildcards!

After seeing the Thursday weather forecast for London, I'm feeling a bit better about not being down at Queens afterall :rain::rain::rain:

Queen’s 2021
Did anyone book tickets for this today? Bit of a fiasco as the Ticketfactory booking system failed in the first minute but reset for booking again at 2pm. Have booked for Tuesday 15th and hope we don’t spend the whole day in the refreshment tent as we did in 2019.

Agree with you over the fiasco. Jackie55 and I managed to get single tickets for the Wednesday & Thursday. I was in the refreshment tent all day back in 2019! Also got tickets for Eastbourne on the Wednesday which is sold out apart from the qualifying rounds.

Did not try for Queen's , however I have been a few times when there has been little/no play! (even if it was fine other years-was not there in 2019)

My tickets from last year rolled over to next year so sticking with that. Didn't want to risk travel to London then potential track n trace have me miss my class' last 10 days of primary school- and them too potentially. Just be lovely to see it back - tho I know I'll have a few wish I was there moments.
